Hi, I just got a centipede control panel to go on my centipede cabinet for my restore but it turns out that the control panel extends too far out when I installed it on my cabinet. Can somebody confirm the distance of the control panel area on side panels for me on their real centipede upright? It seems that it's about 1 inch or so too short.

If it is too short, would the best option be to add a piece of wood to the ends and then bondo over it to smooth it out?
