Been messing around with this for a little while...replaced the K7500 with a D9200 since it supports 480p VGA input. I can play Dreamcast light gun games like House of the Dead 2, but also I had an epiphany the other day and remembered I have a GBSC scaler and it can output 480p over VGA, so I hooked up my Wii and can play any Wii shooter, Guitar Hero, etc. Only other thing is a $20 amp from Amazon...currently going to 2 Polk Audio speakers on top, but I did make an adapter to use the stock cabinet speakers and it works just fine, but they're a little crapp so I'm going to upgrade them soon...ish. Using a CRT with Guitar Hero is really the only way to go, zero lag (GBSC introduces less than 1 frame of latency...maybe actually be zero since this is just pass-through).

I forgot that Wii had 3 House of the Dead games on it...looks like there's no need for the Dreamcast in there.

Yah but the wii uses IR for tracking which is such a poor experience compared to light guns. If the DC one is true light gun, I'd definitely play that over the wii games.

When you calibrate and turn off crosshairs it's actually extremely fast and accurate. Funny enough, my Japanese Dreamcast light guns literally just showed up at my door, so going to try those later, but Wii on a CRT aying HotD2 w/ calibrated guns and no crosshairs is just as playable as real light guns.

If you're having fun with it then that is all that matters. The IR tracking, with or without crosshairs, is just not fun to me since you have to calibrate it and stand in that exact place holding the gun in the exact same spot, otherwise you will have accuracy issues.
