I picked up a nice original Warp Warp cocktail today, but it's booting to a static garbage screen.

I pulled all the RAM, and they all tested good on my backbit. I also ripped all the ROMs. One (1T) didn't come up with a match, however, I'm not sure if there are any cocktail differences. I burned a new 1T from the Rock Ola WarpWarp set 1, and still it's coming up to a static screen.

I'm not really familiar with this architecture. Where do I begin?

If the image is static, usually means it is not resetting. I would check reset pin on cpu first and then it is on to checking addr and data lines enables etc.

I've never seen a cocktail of this one. Thanks for sharing.
Yeah, from what I understand they're fairly uncommon. I'll post some pictures in my retrobotics thread. It's a funny little table.

And did you try the original rom after swapping the cpu? No chance it was intentionally different?

I just tried it. Interestingly enough, it works. Guess this makes it undumped? That or it just had an incredibly minor difference somewhere from bitrot

Maybe dump it and do a binary comparison. It could be either a different rev, someone's attempt to hack it for more lives or something, or just bitrot of some sort.

Or... Rock Ola Burnt it twice and used a too-big ROM for it. That's why. It's a double burn lol. It's definitely factory, has a rock ola label on it. that's hilarious.
