Warning! Time Warp Approaching..."The Lost Highway Chronicles (Episode I)" Released!

Greetings everyone! I'm very proud to announce the release of:

The Lost Highway Chronicles
Episode I
A Sci-Fi Thriller
By John P. McCann

What is it? This is my version of an old time radio program that I created using the Wavepad Audio Editing Software; it's on CD and approximately 42 minutes long. There is a bonus, I created an "adventure book" as well. It is about the size of a comic book and has 24 pages containing 12 really cool original drawings (these were done by the same guy who painted the mural in my arcade). The adventure book is a summarized text of the audio CD.

I've always felt I have the talent to entertain an audience by creating a story, and this will be the true test for me. I have wanted to do something on this level since I was a kid, and now I have completed the first chapter. My ultimate goal is to have this made into an animated movie, on the same lines as the classic "Heavy Metal" from 1981. No harm in dreaming big!

I've listened to dozens of programs from the Golden Age of Radio (1930's-1950's), including episodes from "Escape", "Inner Sanctum", "Lights Out", etc. As awesome as some of them are, I hope that you will find my story even better.

I worked on this project for over a year and literally have hundreds of hours into it. Putting this together has been a long road, but I enjoyed the challenge and loved every minute of the creation process. The audio was recorded entirely in wav. files, and will rattle your windows if you have a good stereo system!

The story directly relates to the theme of my arcade, and is a creation from my own mind. I love sci-fi and anything having to do with UFO's, time travel, the thrill of the chase, and beating the odds to survive. This story reflects just that.

"The Lost Highway Chronicles Episode I" is a symphony of sounds that is a real treat for any listener. The adventure book mimics a comic book in size, has awesome artwork, prepares you for the audio CD, and gives you something to look at and hang on to. The website has tons of trivia, easter eggs, and links, as well as artwork and audio samples.
When you listen to my story, you WILL get goosebumps, you'll fear the UFO's, and you'll be cheering on the pilots as they fight for survival. I guarantee you will be entertained!

I've done my best to keep costs down so everyone can buy a copy and not break the bank. I know that any sci-fi fan will listen to it again and again and enjoy it every time. There is enough content, artwork, and sounds to keep any reader/listener coming back for more.

I challenge you as a listener to envision how the UFO looks through Connor's eyes as he plans his escape on foot after bailing out of the B-29. Or how the attack robots look to Reed as he and Connor make their escape across the desert on a motorbike. I also challenge you to solve all the easter egg and trivia questions on your own, without peeking at the answers first!

I would like to thank Alan R. (Alan173) for doing voices and being a creative consultant, Jim R. (YodaInMn) for doing voices, and Billy L. (mrsalvage) for building and hosting the website.

So without further delay, please go to the website and check out the artwork samples, audio samples, and other content. I hope you will be intrigued enough to buy a copy. Thank you and enjoy!

WOW John- it looks like you put A LOT of time into this! Can't wait to get my copy- I'll be ordering as soon as I get the kids to bed.

Just ordered my copy! This looks amazing, John! Great job. What a fantastic idea to have this backstory to your already incredible arcade. The radio show idea is great - I enjoy listening to those old shows as well. I got hooked on radio drama by listening to the CBS Radio Mystery Theater in the late 70's/early 80's when I was growing up. Ahh, memories... ;)

Thanks Greg! Your copy will ship on Thursday. I guarantee you will not be disappointed. Expect it to be really good and keep you on the edge of your seat. I held nothing back in creating this....

I know firsthand how much time, effort and passion John poured into this project.....and the results are simply amazing! Between the adventure book, the website, the radio show.....all of it is OVER THE TOP and oozes John's creativity which has already attracted so many folks to his home arcade.

I have always wondered that once you complete your home arcade and friends and family enjoy it....."What is next?". Well....John has one answer that ALL OF US get to enjoy and we never even have to leave our own house! How sweet is that!?

I guess I need to launch a Saturn V rocket off my rooftop at Tranquility Base Arcade to even attempt to come close to this effort.

Awesome John....simply awesome....

Sgt. Alan Radue ;)
