- Warning: Ram Controls selling on ebay

Negative
Gearing up for a site launch. Seller profile says based out of orlando, fl. Wonder if "travis'" profile or the etsy store locations have changed.

I might try to order something just to see if my order gets cancelled like it did when I ordered from the Etsy store.

Before the Internet decides to run of half cocked, allow me to set the record straight here...I AM ARCADEGAME.TECH! My name is Dan Hall, and I am a well known long time collector of arcade games here in Orlando, FL. I am *NOT* RAM Controls, and I am *NOT* Travis. Travis and I have never met in person. I have purchased, just like any number of people have, a number of items from Travis to help bolster my own product line, and launch a classic arcade restoration site, Arcadegame.tech, that I will open soon.

I AM ALSO DEALING WITH OTHER REPRO, MOD MAKERS AND DESIGNERS.

My general concept for this small part of my business is that I will carry a number of his (and others) more popular items in stock, and ONLY sell what's in stock now...I do not do preorders, or take money for "when items come back in".

For those interested in identifying me as a real human, you can find me easily on Facebook.

For those of you that go on Facebook, you can find me frequently on the Poor Score Arcade Collectors group.

You can also find an older page of mine floating around, Dan's Pinball Mods and Design.

Again, not Travis, just a customer of his, just like many of you.

New LL thruster, logo sticks, wire harnesses ... same ol' stuff.

Because it was the first batch of things that I had ready to sell, and it's costing me a hell of a lot to get the site running. =D

Please do, I only sell what I have in stock...and again, costing me a hell of a lot on this project. =)

Yes I am...and as far as I am aware, nothing about Travis's location has changed...I was able to buy from him easily enough.

I hope that clears things up guys, as soon as more stuff is available to sell, I'll let you know! I'm sure you all want to see what NEW stuff I'll be carrying.

Thanks!

Apparently people are eating up his wire harnesses and liking them.

I've heard that they are not that great.

A prominent CO guy got one before knowing who Travis was and said he did not like it, so much so he just went with a standard jamma harness.

He's a known scammer and has ripped people here off. His name isn't Travis. If you buy stuff from him, it's not allowed to be sold here and can get you banned.

That's been made clear to me by a number of friends now.

Of course I will respect the KLOV's rules, and not post anything of his for sale here, and as you will notice, I have not tried. The only reason I even explained myself directly was because I was called out after a fashion, and as I said before, and it can be easily proven, im not him.

Perhaps it was an error in judgement on my part to even carry these items, My goal was to augment my own items iwith these parts and parts made by others in my webstore and on ebay to drive further interest. However, what's done is done. If people don't want to deal with me on my own iproducts because I made this initial choice, that is their decision. I'm not looking for trouble, but it appears to have located me just fine anyway.

You should discontinue any relationship with that dirtbag. He stole literally tens of thousands of dollars from people here, which has never been reclaimed.

Yep, you can buy his stuff and resell it to make money. But it'll cost you your reputation in many people's eyes. Especially here.

Andrew summed it up. Adam Judd goes back 20yrs ago to the r.g.v.a.c. usenet forum - he and his wife scammed people back then. He has been here (and banned) under multiple alias, and is now known and quite popular on FB as Travis Reynolds, but has to work under a fake name. Weird for someone who has been in the hobby that long, huh?

I still want to know who made these websites:

If you have some time to kill, and want to read how the Travis alias was exposed:

There are a lot of people who buy from him who a)don't care, b)don't know, c)don't want to believe it's the same guy if they're told. There are plenty of reputable people in this hobby that give a damn, and care about their reputation, that don't want anything to do with the guy, unless he makes amends, pays people back, and uses his real name and photo on social media.

Joey,

I don't disagree with your right and the right of others in the community to be upset. I do care about my reputation, and most of the people that actually know me understand this.

I'm still a practical man. At this stage, about the best I can offer is to continue to abide by and honor the wishes of this group. I will not offer to sell any of the products associated with RAM Controls / Travis to this group or on this forum.

This doesn't mean I won't offer to sell MY OWN products, Refurbished Products, or the products of OTHER makers here, nor does it mean that I will simply take the hit and abandon the investment of the many thousands of dollars that I have already invested into purchasing in bulk those very products that are making people upset.

To do so now would be unreasonable. I still need to recoup that investment, and It would cripple me to take such a large loss at such an early stage. I'm not asking people to break their principals, I respect people more whenever they show that they actually HAVE principals.

What I'm asking from THIS group is a little forbearance while I continue to make my way. I don't think that compromises any principals, nor is it unreasonable in any way.

Regardless of what has happened, I still intend to move forward with my own product line, and the products that I am working on in collaboration with others, if some people wish to judge me harshly and publicly based solely on these initial missteps, there is little I can do to stop them, so I won't worry about it.

I think you're underestimating how angry people here are at this person, and what he did.

And yes, it compromises principles. Don't do business with criminals, or people who support them.

You bought a bunch of inventory with blood on it, that you're now stuck with. That's on you. You got scammed. But frankly if you've been in this hobby as long as you have, you should have known who he was. But you're coming here now, telling people that you're selling his products on your site. You're basically advertising. That's effectively no different than him coming here and doing it himself. He's just using you to do his dirty work.

Also, you may want to provide some form of proof that you are who you say. Not a Facebook page, something verifiable. We have no way of knowing you aren't just another alias of his at this point, as he's had many, going back many years.

Sorry if that sounds harsh, but given the circumstances, it isn't. You're an unknown person, with no history in this community, coming here saying you're going to sell products from a known criminal who has stolen from people here.
