Warlords CT on Ebay - no bids??

I assume a bunch of bidders will be so clever that they'll swoop in in the last minute and then some will pissed that they didn't bid higher and they missed it.

It's a pretty stupid game. Don't get me wrong I can dig it for 10-30 minutes when a bunch of other players are around. But generally speaking, I think $500 is too much for this game.

I traded mine for $300 and a 6/10 hyper sports a couple of years back. I realize you can put $600 worth or art on this thing, but that will only give you a $600 game that is pretty stupid.

I never understood the love for it either. It's just vs pong. So boring.

Warlords was one of those games that I only knew about on the Atari 2600 and then only recently, in the past few years, learned that it was actually a proper coin op arcade game. Never played a Warlords arcade BITD. Good luck with the auction!

Super fun game for parties, but I never have enough people over to where I could enjoy a game like that.

The reason it takes the price it does is because of it's 'Fun Factor", not because it's a complicated game (just like most the arcade games we collect!). :)

It's a huge hit at every party, especially with guests who have never seen one before. I always have a tournament and people love it.

I already have one. It was the first game i got after joining KLOV and it was my first restoration. Alien Syndromes are much easier to come by.

I may have a chance at this Fiz. You wanna trade for that Alien Syndrome? :D

Sold one for $1k a year ago. I always liked it on the 2600. I'd occasionaly play it in the arcade bitd. Just restored one a couple weeks ago, love it!

Everyone's entitled to their own taste and we don't have to agree. For example, I hate fighting games. I can't be more bored. Or Popeye. terrible game.

But Warlords is one of those games that you put in a game room of "the best games of all times" and you have a party with a big group of knowledgeable collectors who each have 50 games in their collections, and they all want to play Warlords. You have another party with extended family and a bunch of kids, and there's a line for Warlords.

There are some other games like this, but Warlords might be the tops.

I like playing it alone, too, but 4 players "everyone bets a buck" or "winner stays, losers gets replaced" is a ton of fun.

Again, that's my opinion, and so I own it.
Your mileage may vary.

I say Warlords is a fun 4-player game. But I can't justify paying the high price it is usually sold for.

I tried to buy it outside of ebay. I contacted the seller with an offer right after he listed it but he declined. He came back a few days later and stated he had a higher offer. I was not interested in a bidding war/him trying to get me to go higher. I offered to match the supposed "higher offer" but never heard back.

It was worth the $500 but I did not want to pay that much. Needed new glass, monitor rebuilt, and power supply rebuilt.

Not a steal - a realistic price for a game that was hot/hyped up for a period of time. Just like any game - they have a cycle of when everyone wants one, is talking about one and the hysteria sets in.

The list of games that fit that description is endless...

Remember when Galagas and Pac-mans brought $1000 (or more) all day long?
