I have a dedicated wargods, which uses a med res monitor, now im sure everybody would agree when i say the game is horrid..... And i have only $100 bucks invested, and honestly am reluctant to go to much more, if youve seen my pics you would understand why ive purchased it, as i wanted to collect every midway fighter, and am getting close to my goal. My question is, i have heard and read a couple times that the (updated) hard drive, that came with the wargods conversion kit works on std and med res monitors..... Does anyone here have this "updated" hard drive? or the files that could be burnt to a hd? Im afraid the cheapeast med res monitor i can find is around $250, however a std res around $100 and quiet frankly i do not want to invest $350 in a game that will Never be played other than by my girlfriend.....

Any help at all would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks

I can confirm that there is a medium res and standard res version. You may have those files on your HDD already. There is a dipswitch setting on your War Gods board. Get a standard res monitor and try that first. Some of the dedicated HDD's came with those files already.

Hope that helps.

I can pull mine out and look at mine later to tell you what the dipswitch settings are if you can't find them.

I have installed this previously in my ki2 cab and messed with the dips, and i can vouge that it only makes it worse, and that this pcb And hd are only for med res.

I have a wargods boardset around here somewhere, it was in a deadicated cab with a Med res monitor in it I can hook it up to my test rig and see it I can get it to work an a std res. I might have access to a HDD duplicator.

If its a dedicated game, it wont switch to standard. You have to have the board set from a conversion kit. I use to have a war gods and wanted to put something else in it, like a mortal kombat. But couldnt since mine was dedicated. You could always buy the correct boards and then sell yours. It would still look dedicated.

I can dump the harddrive for you Mitsurugi-w.. I've been looking for this as well. I can send a DVD to those that need it aferwards or FTP it to them.

I dont know if the boot rom is different, anyone else know? I can dump that too if you want though just in case.

No different EPROM is needed, just the harddrive image with a few extra files on it. I'll FTP it to ToplessZ and he can take it from there. I was supposed to do this last year and try to modify the code to make it work with a CF drive (or any other IDE drive) but never got around to it.
