Went on a warehouse raid today... well it was an abandoned church that was used for storage. Good news and bad news.

The good news is that I found a bunch of machines: Defender, Stargate, Joust, Phoenix, Centipede, Tempest, Mario Bros, Donky Kong Jr, Kram, Caterpillar (?), Cocktail Defender, Dragon's Lair, pinball machines including: KISS, Harlem Globetrotters, Mata Hari (ss), James Bond, Spider Man, Buck Rogers and others.

The bad news is that the place flooded and the games got up to two feet of water. And have been sitting for years.

I've made a deal where I can cannibalize any of the games - or take them all but the videos seem to be in pretty bad shape. The pinballs aren't as bad - backglasses are in pretty good shape (except for the Harlem Globetrotters). Aside from the obvious, like the KISS machine, is there anything worth salvaging from the games? I've gotten the marquees, pulled the whole Kiss machine, and plan to grab the backglasses from the other games. I haven't had a good look at the playfields for the pinballs - they may be in decent shape but I'm wondering if there's any parts/pieces that are hard to find that I should get? Anyone out there looking for anything in particular? The pinballs all appear to be in mostly complete condition.

Looks like the water never got to the playfields

Oh man, that Stargate is NASTY!

Hopefully you can get some more parts outta there... marquees, bezels, coin doors, maybe even some monitors.

How do I get into the backbox of the KISS pinball machine? I haven't worked on Bally's of this era. Uploading pics of the game now.

EDIT: figured it out - there was a dirt-hornet nest over the keyhole and I didn't see it :p

This is before any cleanup:

LOL, you ain't seen nothin' When I pulled the marquee off the Phoenix, there was a live opossum in it!

What parts are worth salvaging do you think? I was planning on getting the bezels. Are the monitors really worth messing with?

That Mario Bros wide body has a lot of sought after parts on it. The marquee, the CP and bezel are all unique to that one, so they would be worth grabbing. As well as the same parts from most of those games. Even if they are rough, someone will want them.

Monitors can be worth it to. Some people will pay decent cash for the tubes alone. If you can confirm they work, you can get more

I'm also curious, where is this at?

I would grab all the pins not just backglasses if it were me. I don't know how much room you have but there's some pretty cool titles in there and it seems they faired much better than the vids. I would take monitors as well, get some rebuilt for yourself and have spares under the pins.

That caterpillar could either be the bootleg of centipede.

OR

Its the very rare game made by phi according to KLOV.

Get as much parts for all the games as you can. Anything thats not wooden splinters or torn artwork. Congrats of the find! :)

I don't really see a normal fire button on this game. With the happy Caterpillar art I would have to think it is the Phi version.

If the joust bezel is nice, I will take it and maybe the marquee.

The Joust marquee is the best I've seen. No scratches. I had one that was in bad condition so I might keep that.

My plan I think with the pinball machines is to pull the playfields, backglasses, harnesses and boards and junk the cabinets.

I'll grab as much of the other stuff as I can - things like video game parts I'll happily sell to people here if they need them for whatever you think is fair -- ironically, the guy who gave me the deal on the machines accidentally bumped into my car while hauling one of the machines and mashed up my bumper, so now I've got an added expense I have to deal with (he had no insurance, lovely).

There's a really cool Defender cocktail - it really saddened me to see it in such bad shape. Is there anything unique salvageable from it? It got a lot of water damage.
