Although most of the top games in there were already rescued by me and others (3 Berzerks, 4 Centi's, Rockola Armor Attack, Basketball, Breakouts etc. there were still a lot of interesting cabs left in the warehouse in Belgium.

Many friends from the forum and some new guys were interested in various cabs so I organized a "raid day". IMHO any game pulled out of a warehouse and getting into the hands of collector is one rescued....

Here are the pics of the day:

It was great fun and I scored a Hard Drivin' sit down, the game I wanted after having played it at Funspot last summer.

There's a video here:

Thanks to Etienne for all the great pics and video !

Awesome video.

I am beginning to think "Nerd" is universal. That stuff looked awesome. Its easy to forget that arcade games were a global phenomenon, with just being in the US.

Love the cookies on the dashboard shot at the end.

see you got the rain which we had a little bit before you lot in europe.

so you grabbed the alibabba and left the cute rabbit on the two my little pony things?
:)

Did anyone get that Circus Charlie or Hard Drivin'? I saw stuff..you guys were passing up. Nice raid though.

Nice video! What was that donkey game with the sombrero? That thing looked awesome! That Dedicated Tekken looked cool too.

Nice to see warehouse raids overseas are just like the ones in the USA except everyone at your warehouse is fit, clean, and dressed nicely. :)

I always loved Hard Drivin, that was the first racing game I played that actually had a real feel with force feedback steering. I remember I got it on Sega or NES, looked exactly the same but without the wheel it wasn't fun anymore.

Exactly, the game sucks in every way even on MAME. This game MUST be played on the real cockpit...

So I bought it ;)

There was no Circus Charly (else it would definitely be picked up). I've never seen a CC in Europe...there _was_ an Exidy Circus though. If there would have been more room in one of the vans, three Exidy machines would have gone to Hatster in Spain but the van was full after loading up the Power Drift, Super Bug (man why are Super Bugs so HEAVY ??) and Breakout it was FULL :S

Passing up cabs....it's always a matter of space, preferences and money in a certain mix.

If the prices would have been a bit lower on some cabs, many more would have moved.
Still got 21 machines out of there...that's a lot for our standards.

There were at least 8 Taito cabs and there are still a couple left AFAIK.

Thanks for the nice comments !

LOL , well for the most part...;) I could be a bit fitter ;)

Dressing nicely....well uhm....let's just say European taste is somewhat different sometimes ;)

What Taito cabs did you leave behind?

:D

That sombrero thing was called "La Pinata" and it's a redemption game. Hit the Pinata on screen a couple of times and receive some candy.

Yeah, well I knew what to expect....been there a couple of times now..

The first visit I will never forget...I felt like a kid in a candy store. Especially when I saw the 3 Berzerks my heart was racing, yet I had to remain calm and trying to stay cool I said that I "might" want them.... :p

Alibaba?? WTF!!!

Is that the Alibaba and 40 Thieves game from the KLOV list or something else? Strange name for a Taito cab. Does it come with a free slurpee?

Are you implying that in an American warehouse one is likely to find fat, unwashed slobs?? ;)

What was the game near the super bugs that had the space ship on the side.. Looked like a missile command cabinet?

Their warehouses are cleaner as well. Some of our game rooms look dustier than that place.
