I am wanting to put a trackball in my 60 in 1 icad. It is a 2 player standup already has holes for 2 joysticks but was wanting to put a trackball in where one of the joysticks are. but I am kinda Leary of trying to jigsaw it for I am not good at cutting through metal. I was wanting to know how other people did this and is there an easier way to do this.

thanks in advance

A jigsaw would make a mess, no way you'd cut a clean hole.

I've found hole saws to be crappy, but the right size hole saw, mounted in a drill press, at the right speed might make a clean hole that you could deburr with a file or sandpaper.

If it were me, I'd consider taking the panel to a machine shop and just getting them to do it.

I used a drill press with a "metal" hole cutting bit. Tremendous pain in the ass. I had to throw away the bit when I was done.

If you have access to a punch kit, use it. Or like Joey mentioned, take it to a machine shop. Those guys have the right tools and skill to do a perfect job and its pretty inexpensive.

I had a custom mini control panel made at a local machine shop. They welded a hinge on for me and stamped out several holes. Only cost me like $20 and I waited for it in the lobby area.
