Wanted: Williams Indy Jones Cliffy protector install tutorial!

I KNOW I saw a site... once... about how to install Cliffys protectors on the Williams Indiana Jones, but now that I'm trying to do it... no such luck.

The mode start hole is a no-brainer, but the other 2 are giving me fits.

Any tutorials out there on how to install these?

I emailed Cliff about this question and here was his response:

Do the drop slots first. Lift the playfield and remove the screws holding the drop target assemblies. Let them hang by the wires. Now remove the nut for the metal post that's just behind the 3 drop slot. Lower the playfield. Remove whatever plastics in the way. The jackpot plastic can be fragile and difficult to get to all the screws because of ramps. I've been able to remove enough screws to allow that plastic to flex up enough to get that post out but BE CAREFUL. You don't wanna crack that plastic. You'll have to flip the pf back up and tap that metal post out. They are usually quite tight in the wood. Careful not to shoot it out :) Just tap it up enough to losen it. PF back down and carefully twist post out under the plastic. Now snap the protector into place. It'll be tight so wiggle it on carefully and line up the mount tab with the post hole. Replace post. Now while the pf is down install the totem drop slot protector. Again it simply snaps into place facing the back of the slot as thats where the damage occurs. You may need to loosen or remove stuff to get access to snap it in. Once in now flip pf back up and install the drop target assemblies and reinstall the nut on the 3 drop post. Do not overtighten. Just a bit past snug. You may need to hold the top of the post while tightening nut underneath. Get used to that monkey reach. Thats pinball for ya :)

Now do the mode start. You will need to remove the POA mini playfield to get down to the mode hole. It's easier than it seems really. It swivels in bearings on the south end and slips into a drive motor on the other. At the upper drive end there is an allen set screw in the hub that the poa shaft goes into. Loosen the set screw but don't remove ro you'll lose it. Remove the single screw holding the bearing bracket and lift and pull the mini pf out. Unplug the wire harness if you want to take it all the way out otherwise just set it to the side to gain access to the plastics covering the mode start area.

Remove plastics and loosen the ball guide to the left of the hole. Remove the deflector. Clean around the hole where the protector will go with alcohol to remove wax and dirt. Peel adhesive backing on protector and place over hole. Take care because the adhesive doesn't like to be moved or lifted once down. Once installed rub down hard to activate the pressure sensitive adhesive. Install deflector but do not reef down on the wood screws or you risk stripping the holes and warping the protector. Remember, just past snug is good enough. If you have the Pinbits dead drop foam for the mode now is the time to stick it on. Apply to the ball guide as seen in pics on my page. Replace plastics and carefully slip the poa mini pf into the upper drive. Take care not to bend the opto trip arms. Install lower end bracket with screw. Go back to upper end and tighten hub set screw.

Done!
