Im convinced the art for this game doesnt even exist. I cannot find a picture of a cab, marquee, anything. Been on a few other overseas forums looking for the same stuff, no luck.

This game was a kit, and very limited when it came to a US release. The boardset I have is a US boardset. Im sure the side art and CPO were just generic Tecmo stuff, but was there a marquee also? I find it hard to believe a kit did not include all of these things. Where the hell is this stuff? Next stop is gonna be creating the items from existing art from this game, but I sure would like any of the original stuff.

Shoot, Id like to just see a picture of a cabinet with the kit installed, anything.

I am on board for a marquee if you decide to design one or are lucky enough to find an original pic to make one. I have also looked for a marquee for years, no pic ever found.

Im just gonna say the things dont exist. Ive found things much more elusive than this, and its a jamma for christ sake, how hard can it be to find?

Ill probably just take a bunch of art from flyers and other media and slap something together.

Oh well, this is one for the folks who think they know it all.

complete cabinet? i do understand it was initially a JP release, and then a US version was released.

See if you can get pics from your friend, they are needed. Also, I tried a few forums overseas because parts should be more available there. No response.

In JP when you buy the game you only get the PCB and with some copied arts for a Japanese-style arcade machine. I don't think my friend's copy has copied arts but I'll ask him on your behalf.

The PCB is the important part when it comes to buy arcade stuff from Asia. Many arcade machines in Japan are sit-down Japanese candies cabs like this Egret II (which is mine):

As you can see the "artwork" of the game is just two strips (sometimes three strips) of paper. For a JP Strikers 1945 II as you can see it uses a control panel strip (look at the joystick area you'll see artwork for the game), and look up at the marquee area and it's just a small strip of paper.

PCB releases in Japan don't use sidearts or that stuff. The Japanese went with simple with the idea of changing out the games in less than two minutes (it's a lot easier to change out games on a Japnaese cab than an American cab), and cutting down a lot of the art changing. The JP did use American-style machines for the early 80s but around the mid-80s arcade sellers went with the sitdowns because of the JAMMA standard.

Hope you understand.

I think you're right. But like I said, if your gonna make a marquee, I'm in for one. I have the generic tecmo cpo and side art. Not even sure what cab it would go on. Custom side art would be cool as well. Maybe billybob can do something?????
