O'l Bessie my NES died the other evening. Some careless girl managed to bend a pin connector. I know I can replace the connector, but I was hoping to just pick up an original top loader instead. PM me with prices shipped to the 01060. I also have upright parts to trade for it.

Thanks

Did you have a Top Loader before? I always wonder why anyone would want a top loader, since you can't even use composite hookups, you need to use an RF connector which looks crappier.

I always wanted a top loader myself until I saw how cheaper famiclones were.

I had a front loader before, and feel like the top loader has a longer life span. I don't mind the RF adapter, I grew up playing on a crappy tv so it doesn't make much of a difference.

Longer life span? I didn't think it was possible to kill an original NES. I've seen many in my lifetime, and they all worked. It sucks if you got to use an RF when the composite is so much better.

Dude, it's what they want, who cares why? Some things that are important to the rest of us may not be important to others.

I care Dude. Just adding some additional input, some people don't know that the Top Loader dosen't use composite output. Not sure if the OP knew or not so putting it out there. Do you have a problem with that?

Of course not. The way I read it, it came off pretty shitty. My bad if that was taken out of context.

That's ok. Also not sure if the OP knows the extra cost of a top loader, it's more of a collectors piece.

It cost more but has less features, they always dumb down the newer release systems to save money and sell them for less, same thing they did with the playstation.

Bump to the OP, good luck on getting whichever model NES you want, and sorry the thread started to get de-railed.

I have a practically new Boxed Mint toploader w/ less than 5 hours play time on it.
comes with 2nd dogbone controller also.

PM Sent.
