I seem to remember people discussing lock picking sets and I even think there was a link on where one could be purchased.

Anybody care to remind me?

Just don't get caught with them in your pocket... they are considered burglary tools by the po-po...

I have a police issue set in a nice leather case. It was given to me from a friend who probably got it in a not so legal way knowing him. I didnt ask any questions, it was free to me. I will post a pic of it tomorrow, its in the truck right now.
I will also post a pic and name of another tool that is simply awesome. I think its called dynamo kwik pick or something like that. I highly reccomend this one.
I really need to get some tubular lock pics. Im getting very tired of drilling them things and it seems like everything I get now has them instead of the old bitted locks.

Here's the set I have. The blue tool in the middle is called "Dyno Kwick Pick" and is what I use 99 percent of the time.

I am digging the lockpics, and the hook! Classic!

I made some a few years ago, before they were available so cheap from China. There are instructions on the 'net on how to make them out of hacksaw blades.

I could pick the cheapo wafer pin locks no prob, but never had any success with true pin tumblers.

You can use a paperclip to pick those wafer pin locks :)
Im telling you guys, that dyno kwick pick is the cats ass. Cost around $15-$20 but it will get you into most locks with ease.
I rarely pull out my big set, the dyno usually always does the job and it stays in my toolbox.

ok, I got my lock pick set,
what are the tricks?

love some feedback on how you go about it.

im pretty sure its illegal to own a lock pick set without a license. But still funny how easy it is to get em. Makes sense if you pick up a lot of games.

So which model did someone get here that works good for the arcade locks?

I got the PRH-16 from http://www.lockpicktools.com/lockpicks.htm and they worked great on the cab I needed to get open. Work pretty nicely on the handful of padlocks I got just for practice, too.

In most states if you're not a licensed locksmith or a bail recovery agent it is illegal to own them, but realistically as long as you keep them in the toolbox at home and don't carry them around, you're not going to have an issue. As far as them being easy to get, that's just one of the joys of the internet. :)
