I am looking for a descent galaga preferably in the original cabinet. I am ok with a project as long as it is not too far gone. I have a gyruss that I would be willing to work out a trade if anyone is interested. Thanks!
How sick is it to take a day off work to go buy your next arcade..I have to do it leaving early to go score my $150 galaga. I will post pics after I get it if anyone wants to see. Maybe I can beat my high score now from the other day at Incredible Pizza I am excited as if it was 1981!
It got even better, I drove 8 hrs r/t to get it and when I got there he pulled it out of storage. Of course it would not even turn on,the power cord was hacked up and a couple other things were disconnected. I stated since I could not see it run I would offer $100. He agreed and we loaded it up. I have spent this evening fixing wires and installing the power cord. I plugged it in and guess what heard the game. There was no picture just a scrolling mess..I could play the game without seeing it. Great sign! I then cleaned all proms, connections and guess what it has life!!!!! I played some games on it..a little screen burn but not major. I am so happy with this find I can't believe it. Looks like I will be working on the cabinet and get new graphics etc. I am glad I took the day off!
Awesome! I would love a Galaga in the future...fun cab to restore. One day I will find one close and cheap....I hope! U let me know if u come across one in your area...I am used to driving 16 hour round trip...only way I can get games where I live...:/ let's see some pics!
