wanted dedicated jorney , timber ,wacko

good luck with your hunt. you can find and own ANY arcade game you want.

you just gotta be willing to pay, and as others have mentioned already, those titles in the right condition are $3k and up

i can't even remember the last time a Timber was for sale at all on KLOV

Only have seen Timber once in my year on this forum. Wasn't for sale for long.

money talks, and you-know-what walks

while i complain constantly about prices in the hobby, the reality is that with a high enough offer anyone will sell virtually any game.

and if your want isn't commensurate with your money, then you gotta pound sand

welcome to the hobby :)

But what if you love your games and don't want to trade? :D

People say that all the time but its not true for everyone.

I wouldnt sell my stuff if someone offered me twice whats it worth to me since it took me years to get what I want and I know Ill never be able to replace most of it.

Ive been offered stupid money for a few things over the years and passed.. glad I did since they keep going up in value anyways.

Oh for sure! I agree completely. I just meant I have no games to trade, only cash. "Trade only" drives me crazy. :D

If you want something bad enough, you have something to trade...
The reality is that you have plenty to trade, you just don't want to trade any of it. :)

Sometimes you gotta give something good up to get something else as good or better.
A trade is a good way to get someone to part with something. A desirable title is more leverage than cash in most situations, unless of course you are willing to overpay.

You are right, can't knock it. And now that you've said it, I recall seeing people request trades for games less than the value of their own. I guess it's easier that way, but I have to imagine it has to be hard finding a trade partner close enough to do a local trade with on a hard to find game. Maybe it's just my area, but in a city as huge as NYC tell me why I only met one guy local to me who collects arcades. It doesn't make sense. If I was rural it would make sense. Meanwhile in LA it seems like there's an arcade collector on every street corner, ha!

Btw, nice and clean Mustang. Sounds like a beast. I have a '14. Brothers in gaming and driving. :D

Trade only is a concept that's been a bit hard for me to understand as well. Like... I guess cash is "worthless" if what you are currently trying to buy is not available for cash. However, the likelihood that someone is willing to trade specific things for your specific thing also seems unlikely, especially when you want it to be a local trade.

The other weird one for me is everyone wants the buyer to arrange shipping. Is that common in anything other than automobiles? I mean I guess I get it, seller wants to pass shipping damage liability onto the buyer.

Weird?!?! These things weigh an average of 300-400 pounds and are the size of a full
refrigerators... It's not like you can box them up, seal 'em with packing tape
and send them off Priority Express! :p

To put it quite clearly... When selling arcade games, the BUYER ALWAYS PAYS
FOR AND ARRANGES ALL SHIPPING. PERIOD. I've never seen a case minus the
exception if you are local and can deliver it.

There are plenty of cases, obviously more uncommon but it's certainly not "never", where people offer to handle shipping Arcades and I personally am willing to pay a premium and/or prioritize those sellers for them willing to arrange it.
