Wanted: Decent USB Control Panel to play some MAME games on PC

Just looking for something I can keep on the desk to load up some games from time to time. Trackball or spinner would be cool, but not essential.

You just looking for a joystick and buttons, or what exactly do you mean by "control panel"? Would a standard fight stick like a madcatz or hori do the trick? If not, pictures of what you're looking for would be helpful.

Yeah, standard joystick and buttons. Looking for something along the lines of X-arcade for some easy PC play. Only thing I don't like about X-arcade is it's a huge pain in the ass to swap to 4/8 way on the joystick.

Something like this might be your best bet:

Page 5 to 6 of the manual shows you how the panel swings open to quickly access the insides:

This youtube video shows you how to switch the restrictor plate on the Sanwa JLF from 8-way to 4-way:

There are probably other models by MadCatz and other offerings by Hori, Razer and other fightstick manufacturers that have similar functionality, in terms of getting quick access to the insides.

Other than that, I don't know of any more simple options out there, for quicker switching between 4-way and 8-way. Maybe somebody else does.

:edit: and yes it does support PC: http://www.highdefdigest.com/news/s...g-on-pc-with-official-xinput-pc-drivers/31415
