wanted Atari Tetris PCBs (A044809), working, not working, or untestsed

looking for some. Multiple are fine. working, non working, untested....

Not looking to pay much (this is not a grail game :) ).

PM me what you have and what you are looking to get for it.

Thanks.

I would have thought there were a lot of these out there.

I might consider bootlegs as well, but I'd need pics.

I currently have one for sale - working.

$120.00 Shipped

I could have snuck it into your box this morning and shipped it for free if I had known then you were looking for one.

Are these really not out there ? I would have thought they were plentiful.....

They really aren't as plentiful as you'd think. They do show up occasionally. When they do, they usually only go for around $100 (working). Good luck in your quest.

There you have it...looks like we were typing at the same time. :)

Guess they are out there but not as common as I thought they would be.

I have one here I have to fix (don't think schematics are available.. I couldn't find any... if you know of any, please PM me a link).

I thought if I had another (working best, non working still might be useful to compare).... but as it isn't a have to have game.... I'm not looking to spend $120. (Not saying a working one isn't worth that.... just not to me currently).

So, still looking for untested ones or known not working ones, etc.

No schematic was published, unfortunately. I bet Scott Evans has a copy buried somewhere.

I hope it surfaces some day. It feels like Tetris was the last gasp of the old Atari. Single 6502 & dual pokeys, just like the golden age.

Just missed out one from TruArcade. Miscommunication happened, and he wasn't holding it while I checked out other things to add to a purchase list.... bummer too.

So, I'm still on the lookout for any dead/untested ones on the cheap side.

They are out there. I did not know they were so rare. I have a copy of the original schematics and will try to get them scanned tonight and posted.

I wonder why Atari didn't include them in the manual. They were really good about having that info available.

Oh man, that would be amazing. I've never seen these & I know of no scans, so this would help keep a lot of Tetris PCBs alive.

Yes, schematics would be great. Lets hope this happens !

Ones for San Francisco Rush/Rush The Rock would be awesome too !

I don't know when Atari stopped including schematics with their games, but I presume there is a period of time where all vendors phased out their inclusion of them.

Yes, these are scanned and posted in this thread below. The arcade archive now has them on their site now too.

Enjoy!

A lot of PCBs are getting that way...not as plentiful as once thought. Tetris is starting to become a rare bird mostly because of its appeal for both men and women, simplicity of play and multiplayer capability. Collectors are keeping them and ops are seeking them out. Once I put an upright of the game on the arcade floor, people flocked to it. It's now easily in the top 5 of played games in my arcade.
