Wanted: Atari Assault Controller (to Measure from)

I've got a lot of project in process at RAM Controls. The Assault controller was doing good, but I had a setback. We're still waiting on the upper and lower housing parts which is being worked on at the same time as the 720 upper/lower housing parts.

The setback was with two of the inner components - the shaft and the reinforcing plate. I accepted measurements from someone who had a controller in their possession. Unfortunately, several of those measurements were clearly OFF. Good thing I only ran off a couple of each part to make SURE.

I really need to get my hands on an OEM controller to get accurate measurements from before I can continue with this project. It does not matter if it's the right or left controller, either. I don't like production hold ups, but this one can be corrected fairly easily. Does anyone have a spare Assault controller they can let me have/borrow? I really only need the shaft and the reinforcing plate, but I'd rather have the whole controller if possible.

I'd be happy to trade some reproduction parts for an Assault controller.

I know I had a couple of them. I'll check in my controller graveyard next time I'm in the shop.

EDIT: Ok, I dug through some stuff and what I thought were Assault controllers were actually from Sarge. But, I also found part of the grips from Assault controllers in the same huge box. Now for the hard part.......I have no idea what base they go on! The box is FILLED with disassembled flight sticks, 4-way shifters, etc. I do not know what the correct one is SUPPOSED to look like, so I'm not sure if it's there or not. Shoot me a picture of what you have, and I'll try and match it up to the real deal.


On the upside, I found 7 Atari logo plunger joysticks!

I just saw the breakdown picture on your website. Not at all what I thought they would look like! I know I don't have one of those in there....sorry.

No problem. I know that someone has a spare Assault joystick out there somewhere. Based on some observation and skill, I think I've been able to determine the correct dimensions. I'd still like original parts in my possession so I can verify before I run off anymore sample parts, so the wait continues.

I have an Assault game that works great, but the sticks definitely need rebuilt. they don't center at all, but the controls work. Would one of these be of help? I would need it back, as it is on my working game. I intend to buy new parts for it eventually, like a plunger and ball, but just haven't found the time.
