I have a Sonic Mars Trek pin that I want to add sound to. Anyone have any ideas on what would be the best and easiest way to do this? I would like to have multiple sounds and good quality as well.

Only way I can think to do this would be to somehow use the voltage that fires the coils for the chimes to trigger another device to set off some MP3 clips or somesuch.

Look up the PIG. It may be able to take solenoid input and use it as a trigger for another device like an arduino and use that as the trigger to play a sound. You'd still have to figure out all the arduino code and speaker wiring and such... not a small project.

*edit* http://www.dkpinball.com/DKWP/?page_id=181 Look for the input allowances. Coil voltage may be too much...you'd have to bring it down to flasher voltage I think.
