Allright, I just picked up a Midway Tri-Sports converted to Gunbird (I really have no interest in converting it back, but if you want to "save" the cabinet yourself, make me an offer), it has the original transformer/filter block, and I don't see any modifications to the cabinet in terms of monitor mounting. FWIW, the Gunbird board is powered by a switcher that was clearly added to the cabinet as part of the conversion.

The monitor presently in it is probably the factory unit, a 19" Wells K7000. It has one of the infamous "white knob" flybacks, and could do with a cap kit, but presently, it works just fine. Beautiful tube -- no burn at all.

But I don't want the current monitor in the first place. I intend for this machine to be my workhorse, and as such, I'd much rather have something tri-sync in there. From what I understand, 19" tri-sync chassis are hard to come by -- but if I'm retrofitting the cabinet for a new tube size, I'm going bigger. So, monitor gurus, what are my options?
