Just got this a month ago, I've done a few little thing to upgrade it, a few more things need work. Overall I'd say it's pretty nice

look ok. "green" tapper means it has a lot of fading.
Tappers w/o fade are brownish.

Anyway, cool game!.

How did you find a nice Tapper like that anyways? It looks great, even with all that fading.

If the artwork is intact I'd leave it as is. Unless you're really picky about your games. Tapper is one of my favorite games congrats!

Yeah, it seems some people *need* to have things perfect where others, like myself, just like to play games. ;)

Like the machine, but is it me, or does the thread title sound profane? :D

Yeah, I understand, but Tapper is one of those games that can look really awesome. I hope to restore mine one day. Mine is about as green as algae.

did you repaint/finish the brass? it looks really clean!

The brass parts were painted over when I got it. TNT Amusements painted both the foot rail which is solid brass and the cup holders that are not solid brass. My picture is now inacurate because I've removed the foot rail and striped all the pain off down to the origial solid brass. I'm going to strip the paint off the cup holders soon and sand better and repaint in a gold/brass colour that is a better match. I know someone drilled a series of holes in the top of the cup holders (WHY???). Then someone else (TNT maybe), filled the holes with Bondo. The only reason I can think that those holes were drilled in perhaps drainage for spilled beers.
