Wanna save these cabinets?

Good luck man!

Thanks. I needed it. Took every inch of space in my Toyota. Big thanks to Mike at BCG pinball for helping me haul this thing in. I dunno if I'm gonna restore it or hand it off to someone who can... ha!

well that makes me happy to see.

:)

I seriously don't know what I'm gonna do with it. I'm not a particularly big Scramble fan but a free cab is a free cab, so no complaints here. I could restore it, but I have no experience - I own one game that I bought whole. I have an MVS single slot board that I was planning to consolize, so I'd definitely consider a trade for a Neo Geo cab I could fix up. But it is late. I'll take better pics tomorrow and see where I go from there.

EDIT: Also just want to let everyone know that the Ms. Pacman isn't available anymore. They found some boards for it and will keep it for now.

Yeah, he told me they were going to try and fix it and sell it. Emphasis on try.

Did he have parts for that Scramble? Was there a monitor etc that got pulled from it?

Thats an uncommon cab (I think) and a good get. Do not be afraid to put together a Scramble if it feels right. This shit aint that hard.

Well if u get tired of looking at it and don't want to do it yourself let me know. Would be willing to drive up one free weekend to take it off your hands.

Good save man! The spaceman Scramble cabs are absolutely worth preserving! If you decide you need to part with it, you'll be able to find it a good home. Just let people know. That needs to NOT be painted over! Thanks for rescuing it.

I completely agree. Since I couldn't run up there and grab it, I'm glad someone could!

What burns me up is he didn't offer it up with the dedicated pieces still in there. Did he give you a good deal on the coin door and plastic bezel, etc? I mean that would've been nice since it was only a board and few pieces of artwork away from being a Scramble again. I have a Konami Classic harness if you end up needing one for the restore.

Well hopefully the guy who picked it up got the option of grabbing that stuff for a reasonable rate. Again, just crappy that he was most of the way to being a nice Scramble before they gutted it. I've had to part games before, but not before trying to sell whole. I just have an affinity for Scramble, I guess. Great game and beautiful art. Definitely rep going to the kind soul that saved it.

Oh I completely agree. In talking with the GRC dude and asking permission to advertise the cabs here, I really don't think they had any intention or any inkling someone would want it (the wood cab). As a result I think it was stripped right away, days before all of this became a thing.

I do hope it was offered at a decent price too.

Alright, I was able to snap some pics after work today. This is definitely a good restoration candidate. They did offer me the parts but I had little to no room left in my car and I *really* did not feel like price checking at 8 PM. I am rather new to the hobby, so I don't know the value of those things off hand. I may restore it or I may make a trade. Like I said before, I'm not particularly a fan of Scramble.
