Wanna be in the repro biz?

Indiana eliminated their inventory tax, last year for it was 2007. Don't know why you were still paying it in Indiana in 2010..

You are correct, my mistake. Its a business property tax and I've already requested an appeal with documentation to back it up. I'll probably still lose.

Arn't those basically......just a different way of stating the same thing?

I know in Kentucky.......anything the business owns (including inventory)......is property of the business.....thus, we're assessed a tax.

Our State requires that each district publish per student costs:
Revenue Source
Local 7,185
State 2,374
State sales tax 1,071
federal 415

Total per Student for 2012 = 11,045

Seriously????????

Can I have it back to pay for a private school were drug peddling, violence, academia, sports programs, scholarships...... are much better please?
:ahhhhh:

schools around here wanted a property tax increase .. voters turned it down.. now they need to cut $2.7 million from the budget...and this is in a town of around 14,000 people.......I can only imagine what they actually spend every year..

I can only speak for Kentucky, but......yes to everything you said!

You should have my inventory tax payment and the funny thing is I pay it every year on the same machine so games I have had for 4 or 5 years well you get the picture

Funny thing about the no State tax in Texas is I am paying about the same sales tax as I was in TX, and get nailed with state tax on top of it.

Worst is if you move into MD they require you to pay tax on the value of your car when you register it which is about equal to a sales tax if you were to purchase it that day from a car lot. So you pay taxes on your car a second time????

I wonder if NY is going to make me move to annual, or keep me quarterly, for my sales tax filing. My old paintball business was put on the annual method, things changing too much with the pinball stiff to even hazard a guess. On the one hand it's nice to do it only once a year, but on the other hand it's annoying having to keep track of how much money to set aside for tax payments for that long of a time period.

And I can't WAIT for my next inventory filing, having to go through all my stock of repair parts and calculate all of that. Oh joy joy joy.

In Kentucky, we pay a tax on our automobiles.......every year!
This is a separate tax from the sales tax you also pay when you purchase the auto.

Same in Counties in Virginia. We pay twice a year for vehicles. My Property tax on vehicles is estimated to be between $650-$700 total for three vehicles. I even pay a tax on each of my three dogs.

Oh yeah, I have to get a license for my dog, which cost money. It's a once a year thing.

Finally got around to ordering my Asteroids Deluxe cabaret side art & a spare CPO… So you'll have a bit less inventory & more cash to deal with the situation.

Still need to take a Food Fight art set off your hands and will probably order up a full Galaga set, but just dropped $500-ish on parts from Rich and Troy and wanted to shuffle $2K to savings this week. Next week for sure though.
