I thought this video was cool. Check out the arcade, and to think all those games were brand spanking new when the video was shot.

Whenever I see something like that I can't help wondering if any of those games have survived or if they have been all hacked up. It also reminds me of the only time I would go to Chuck E Cheese as a kid which was when I received my report card as I would get a bunch of free tokens for my As and Bs.

Those Qix, Pole Position, and Super Pac-Man sounds are great. And everything really looks "shiny" new. My local arcade looked very similar in 1983.

Did anyone spot any super rare games in the mix?

One time when I was 9 or 10, I got my Airwalks stolen while I was playing in the jungle-gym contraption at CEC. I think, I cried...lol.

Check it out, they have a Fotomat in the parking lot! Haven't seen one of those in years....

Cool! Reminds me of my old local Chuck E. Cheese... Used to always play Chexx Hockey and the cockpit-model "Star Wars" there... Fun times!

I love how the manager doesn't even know what a video camera is "...that's uhhh one of those video things"; classic...

that's one helluva Skee-ball row. could you imagine how lound that place would have been. 60-70 kids x all the vids x 12 skee-balls at once. Awesome! Love the PissBall pit too. I hated cleaning those out. Sometimes you even find a old dried up kid turd too.

Based on the link to the site today, looks like the Jack in the Box is still there. But I can't tell what's taken place of the Chuck E. Cheese.

Something else I noticed: if this had been shot in New England in 1983, you never would've seen those particular cars in the lot. They all would've been rusted out by then. Not in AZ, though.

Great video. I noticed the Photomat Booth as well. Classic. The games look great. Its nice to see an unfaded Ms. Pac. I sure wish I had a video of my fav arcade from back in the day. I still have the memories but I'm nearly 35 now and the memory is starting to go. lol. The CEC did share some of the games as the place I am thinking of....Moon Patrol, Super Pac, cockpit Pole Position. I didn't see a Dragon's Lair, Tron or Baby Pac.

Great video!! I miss those day's, I wish I had pictures taken when I was a kid inside CEC, I tell my kids that today's CEC looks nothing like the good ol day's playing there :)

Consider that many of the games that are in the video that are now considered "classics", and yet basically ALL of them were released within about a year of each other! How many years has it been since we had a single year than more than ONE noteworthy arcade game was released??? Really puts things in to perspective if you think about it that way...
