Zaxxon was pretty big when it came out. I always liked the glidding sound effects & blaster effects. I put a few quarters in that one when it was released. Mostly got my fill on a friends Atari 5200 though. Actually not a horrible port, when there really weren't alot of decent ports. Zaxxon definetely hasn't aged well.
After thinking about it Zaxxon was a weird game. Your in a space ship manuvering through all these obstacles blowing stuff up, And the ships sounds like your swooshing around in a glidder with swishing blaster sounds? That game must of went through some changes when it was being programed. It probably started out as some glider game. They probably changed it to a Space Shuttle looking ship, because the Space Shuttle was the Hot Spacecraft of the time.
How about a new Update game "GLIDER WWII" it's world War II and you have to Pilot your Zaxxon to rhe landing fields in France.

Nobody was interested in my last game. Mob Doctor. Basically starts off in the 1920's with a doctor that gets kicked out of Medical School for dating the deans Daughter.
He ends up performing surgery on a low level criminal, works his way up to working on the biggest criminals of the time. It was very educational, where you performed surgeries and stuff. Don't fuck up though, or you get whacked.

Actually Tempest always wigged me out. When I first saw it. I was like WTF is that. It just seemed Alien to me. When you watched someone who really knew how to play the game. It was a trip, when they started booking. Along with the sound effects total trip.

This sounds like a mix of Black Museum from Black Mirror and Cleaver from the Sopranos. I like it! Looper too actually.

Unfortunately I don't go to those places anymore. Lately is been the ones that you need a credit card, and they microchip your kid. They inject it in your child's neck, and whenever your child needs more credits, they can just make a sad face and your credit card is automatically charged.

I became enamored with KLAX sometime in the early 90s. The local pizza place that the girlfriend and I frequented had one. Probably ate there once a week and I always had to play.
