Forgive me if this is the wrong place to post about this game, but I figured this was the closest one.

I am working on a Wacky Gator. More or less, it's a complete overhaul job. Only One gator is working currently, but that's not my issue at hand.

My question is about the lamps for the game's backbox. I pulled a burned one out and on the base there is the label "757 SH7" on some and "24MB" on others. I looked in the manual I downloaded off the Internet, and found that it takes #1819 style.

Kindof lost here. Does anyone have a list of what bulbs will work? I am assuming the previous (now gone) manager here just shoved in 'close enoughs' but I'm not that kindof tech when I fix things.

Thanks

Which bulbs are you working on?? The ones that flash around the blue and red dots, or the ones that light up for how skilled the player is? I beleive 1819 sounds right. I know it is a 28v bulb....why in God's name they used those instead of a "normal" bulb I'll never understand. If you need more help with this, shoot me a PM, I'll get back to you with the number for 100%

I'm working mostly on the ones behind the red and blue dots. But I do have a few out on the scale ('Try Harder', 'Expert', etc). I had about three boxes of random light bulbs here and wondered if anyone of them would be compatable. Of course, no such luck.

I got the game running almost perfect now. Originally only had one gator registering a whack. Got all five working good. Pity I don't have the bulbs right now, but I just need to get the arcade owner to order some.

Thanks for everyone's help!

The manual calls for #1819 bulbs.....and #24MB bulbs. As mentioned, the 1819s are 28V lamps......the 24MBs are 24V lamps. The lamp circuits in that machine are 24V circuits. There should be stickers (unless they've fallen off) inside cautioning to use 24 or 28 volt lamps. The 24MB is some oddball, crazy long life bulb. Happ still stocks them, but you won't like the price! The manual states something to the effect......you can use either bulb.....but if you're experiencing frequent bulb burn out.....upgrade to the long life 24MB bulb.

Thanks for your help, everyone. Aside from a couple more bulbs (found some in the arcade's parts closet) the machine looks great!
