Chris25810 is looking for the sync sequence for hooking up a Wacko machine to a newer D7700. He can't get it to sync currently no matter what he does. He thinks he may be missing a ground loop.

Isn't Wacko an MCR game? If so don't they all have trouble synching with the Wells digitals? I couldn't get my Spy Hunter to sync with a d9500. I have heard issues with some analog monitors as well like the vision pro. (they sync but some colors or some such are off?)
If there is a fix for Wacko maybe there is a fix for the other MCR games as well...
me interested

I'd be interested in hearing about a fix as well, but I don't think the digital monitors support that resolution and probably never will. I could see some analog monitors having trouble as well, but they are easier to modify to get it to work.

It wont work. I tried for hours to get a D7700 to sync with a Tron. Had to put a Vision Pro in the damn thing.

I tried all sorts of things. HOR pin only, VERT pin only, BOTH pins, ran the SYNC through a 7404, ran the SYNC through a combining circuit (MCR's run separate SYNC) NOTHING WORKED...

So annoying.

Mission aborted, i have tried a shitload of configurations and there is no way this is gonna work. I can throw this in an atari cab, other non mcr midway, and other games in my collection but it will not work in anything mcr. Where's a burnfree GO7 when you need one?

I've got 4 of them.

I'm pretty sure it's due to the Vertical Refresh Rate and has nothing to do with the pin configuration. Most games are around 60Hz. Digital Monitors support down to ~45Hz. MCR is 30Hz.
