My Wacko was working fine until i turned it on a few weeks ago and now i get nothing but garbage on the screen. Not sure what the problem could be, perhaps the ribbon cables? Is it worth fixing or is it more headache than it's worth?

Why would you even consider parting out a unique game/cab as a Wacko? Seriously.

I'd fix it and keep it...

Or you could fix it and sell it. Or just sell it as a project.

Wacko is a sought-after game for some collectors. If you don't want to fix it, sell it as a project to someone who will fix it.

IMO complete games in good condition should never, ever be parted out. And a game with a unique cabinet like Wacko is likely to be more valuable as a whole than parted out!

I was seriously thinking of fixing it, but i wanted to hear other thoughts towards this game.
It seems this game gets no love here in the forums.

...

wacko is pretty unique and hard to find.
i would keep it and fix it.

scrambled screen? just check your ribbons and power supply.

Save it is the answer. As for the problem, assume its the power supply. Drop in a switching power supply from arcadeshop and your probably done.

You could always decide to sell it, to me. ;)

North Georgia is a drive for me but I might be tempted to make a road trip if it is a nice cabinet.

Obviously it is worth fixing. It's an MCR board set so you may just have a reset issue with the power supply.
