Found or No Longer Wanted WA/OR/ID WTB a Nintendo style cabinet for restoration project for DAD

I ordered the CPO so thats on its way. I am still working on the monitors. Progress is slow as I have no experience with monitors and do not want to make worse. Will post pics this week!

Also I am missing the LOWER MONITOR BEZEL bracket. if anyone has one they would part with hit me up with a price!Screenshot 2025-09-10 083803.png

Been working on the cabinet. Last few weeks as while in awesome condition the cabinet sides needed extra love as the laminate was ripped off leaving gouges and glue residue. I have sanded it down and have been applying coats of Bondo. Whoooo boy Bondo has a learning curve. More is not always better! After the first coat dried I had to sand my ass off for hours. Now thin skim coats is where im at. One more good sanding then ill use filler primer, sand again, and then hopefully paint and be done!

Ive tried to attach some pictures but this site is very picky about MP quality. Im still working on reducing the megapixels to an acceptable level? Any recommendations?

My workaround has been screenshotting every single picture I've ever posted. Crop the screenshot and use that instead of the original picture. I usually post my pictures inline in a thread. If you're attaching, I'm not sure how much that'll help but it should.

Would be nice to see some photos.

It's simple. Open the photo in MSPaint. Just use the resize option until it's under 6MB. Pretty simple.

Or make a video of it, post it to youtube with a link here.

I mean, they only really came here looking for that cab. They're not an active member and have not been logged in since October. They're not like us degenerates who live, breath, and die for this stuff. I doubt they even get email notifications.

Yes, but they requested this for an ill parent, and many KLOVERS jumped to help, also providing items cheap/free for the cause.

Like you stated they have an ill parent. As someone that has lived with that, arcade games are not always the first thing on your mind. Having an ill parent is a lot of stress, worry and time.

I totally agree. But they wanted the game for that parent, lol. I will be happy to be proven wrong about what might be going on, here.

In hindsight, me gram grew up playing 720 in her beloved homeland of Ireland and now, as she nears her end, I would very much like to find a copy for her to have and play in her nursing home.

That's a nursing home I wanna be in (one with arcade games)!

Could it have been a scam? Of course, but IDK if I would have set the bar that low. A VS SMB?

I don't know if you have dealt with an aging or ill parent before, but it is legitimately one of the worst things that we go through as an adult (aside from children).

I don't have a dog in this fight as I did not contribute, but I would say, if the story was factual things might have gone downhill and the reality is they may not even be thinking about this forum or that game.

Busy time of the year for me work wise guys. No fishy business here guys/gals. I appreciate all of you and so you know my plan is to have a fully working machine together by XMAS for my Dad! And yes it will be under the tree...:) Ill try again to get some pics downloaded of my progress so far. This site makes it ridiculously challenging to just add some pics. I will get it sorted though to assuage any fears of fishiness because I do appreciate the love some of you guys have shown me with getting this together. Just an observation, but it seems some of y'all are chalked full of cynicism....do I dare ask the origins of said cynicism?
I didn't know there was a time frame for this project. My time is limited and I am cursed with being a perfectionist. These factors are what's slowing me down. I could of just slapped it altogether and presented it to him but that's not my nature! My father appreciates attention detail and to give him anything less than my best would be a disservice to us both! He is sick but fighting. Anyway ill update soon now that I know there's a ticking clock. Thanks

There's no ticking clock, but not one single progress pic lately raises flags, sorry. Unless you're using a TRS-80, it shouldn't be hard to upload a pic, especially when people here jumped to help for a good cause.

Thanks for the update.

Now that you framed it like that I can see your point. I will 100% get some pics posted today with some kind of PROOF OF LIFE attached so you all know its legit haha. All jokes aside from the bottom of my heart I appreciate the generosity of Terry and FIREHAWK. Will update with where im at currently with the cabinet repairs. Its nothing sexy yet but I look forward to hearing comments and more importantly assuaging any fears bouncing around. At a minimum i hope you continue to feel good about sharing like you did. Well you might not feel so good after you see how I butchered the cabinet. It always looks worse before it looks better right? I hope so anyway! Talk soon my ninjas!
