ok, I need some help from the Nintendo Vs guys out there. I just picked up a Vs Sky kid daughter board with nothing on it. I plan to put Sky Kid back on one side but what games can I put on the other side just using the daughter board? trying to get an idea of my options and any help would be appreciated.

vs

hello, you can put any nintendo vs title in the other side. if you mean with just a daughter card there are only a few games set in that manner.gradius, rbi baseball, castlevania, im sure there are some more ,but cant think of any. maybe someone will chime in with some more titles.

Do you have the daughterboard that extends across the entire cpu or the half board style? I can help you but would need to know what we are talking about first.

I should have been more specific. I have the board that goes over both sides. What I want to know is there any game that I can just put a few chips using just the other side of the daughter board?

vs games

For all vs games, you need a separate PPU, CPU, and ROM chips. With the daughterboard that you have (sky kid / freedom force) the cpu and ppu go on the daughterboard and the rom chips go in the EPROM locations on the pcb for that side of the board. This is the only way to use both sides of the pcb in your red tent. Any other questions, just ask

I have seen Johns videos so I think I understand the way the PPU, CPU,and ROMs work. I have a few different PPUs and some extra CPUs and lilman can burn the ROMs... I think I found my answer in lilmans vs chip burning thread, with the sky kid daughter board i can only put sky kid or freedom force on the daughter board, not TKO Boxing or RBI Baseball ... right?

sky kid

To use the TKO or RBI, you need the db for each. I have seen it inserted into the sky kid board and work however it is a very tight fit. There are many other games that do not require a separate db where the ppu and cpu go on the board and the roms are put on the pcb. John can burn you whatever you need and he is an amazing guy.

I'll have to figure out what game I want to put on the other side. Just thought I would utilize the db with a game that used a db since it was there. thanks for the help
