According to what I can find, there are 7 Roms.
1A
6A-6D
8A-8B

It seems weird to me that there is a ROM in 1A. Can anyone confirm? Thanks!

Yeah, weird timing becausei just fought with this for 2 hours yesterday!!!

That is how it works, but i couldn't get it to work. I tried three seperate PPUs/chipsets/cpus

Didn't work for me...

SAME HERE. I Fought it for a while. gave up. grabbed some NOS roms I have and burned them and haven't tried it yet. I think I might have a flakey RP2004-002... tomorrow will tell!

I messed with this a few years back. I used to play RoBB on C64 so I was wanting it on Vs. Never could not get it to work and never got back to it. Definitely going to follow this one!

Haha no problem Baymen. I hate when i can't get things to work!!!

I could have sworn i got it to work last year. And even remember thinking, why would someone pay to play this!!!

I tried a bunch of boards, PPUs, eproms, even boards with the memory modification and some without. It just keeps resetting. I can't help but think maybe the 1A belongs in another spot....??? Maybe 1D? I just can't remember.

Tried a quick google and every thread i have read is the same.

Hmm.. this is from the mame source code:
2337 ROM_START( bnglngby )

2349 ROM_LOAD( "mds-rb4-2_1a b.bin", 0x0000, 0x2000, CRC(b49939ad) SHA1(ebaab2864d9ff9876e9d2666746c4bab57e49ec3) ) /* Unknown, maps at 0xe000, maybe from another set, but we have other roms? */
2350
2351 PALETTE_2C04_0002
2352 ROM_END

Not sure what the unknown means. I know it works in mame....

I tried this ROMset a bunch this year as well. No go.

I also already thought of moving 1A to another location, and tried it in AT LEAST 2A and 2B as well, possibly all the other slots, don't recall. Also used multiple PPU's, CPU's, and doubled up on each (to address the stray side ROM) - NOTHING.

Eventually said "eff it" and used my 2 spare 0002's for a Wrecking Crew.

Yeah, i definitely won't spend anymore time on it.

I just can't understand it. I could have sworn i got those working!!! Nix them off the list!

I did some digging and found something.... I am now erasing my ROMs and going to try something different. Current the screen flashes multiple colors.... but what I found might be the key and it does show a ROM in 1A.... more to follow in about 30 minutes.... (key law and order music)

Edit: found this:
ROM Size CRC Region OffsetStatusDispose
mds-rb4-2_6d_b.bin 8192 d152d8c2 main 8000 good no
mds-rb4-2_6c_b.bin 8192 c3383935 main a000 good no
mds-rb4-2_6b_b.bin 8192 e2a24af8 main c000 good no
mds-rb4-2_6a_b.bin 8192 024ad874 main e000 good no
mds-rb4-2_8b_b.bin 8192 d3d946ab gfx1 0 good no
mds-rb4-2_8a_b.bin 8192 ca08126a gfx1 2000 good no
mds-rb4-2_1a_b.bin 8192 b49939ad user1 0 good no

so when burning them I did the file offset (not device) and now I get either a flashing blue or flashing dark green screen depending on which PPU I use.
I think we are getting closer. I am going pull the chips and burn them now with the device offset...
