I have a vs cab and would like to have a Playchoice single monitor board to swap into it from time to time. Is the Playchoice board swappable to the vs loom? I will get another cp for playchoice if necessary.

looks like to me the only difference on the 44 pin connector is one lists 24v to the coin counter, and 12v on the other one. Without digging through the schematics, i'd assume thats a feed out to to them. If it were me, and i had the 24v i'd disconnect that lead from the harness.
The 36 pin connector is very similar, except it swaps p1 and p2, but, the pc 10 has the p2 connections going to the led display. Not sure what effect that would have on the unused side of a vs boardset. I kinda think you'd need a vs 36 pin connector and control panel to use it in a pc10 single monitor game.

Yep, you can, but you can only fully access everything if you have a Vs. duel system. I tested my Playchoice boards in my Red Tent long before I ever got a complete PC-10 set-up. The 1-4 player buttons serve as the channel select, game select, start and reset buttons. Just set the dips on the motherboard to freeplay and you should be good to go. In a unisystem, 1 and 2 player will handle channel and game select, but you will have to tie start/reset to the a and b buttons on the 2 player side. With freeplay, timer doesn't mean squat, as there is no timed play.
