I'm not sure if anyone else has this game, but it is pretty neat little game that wasn't released in the US, AFAIK. PPU is tied to this particular game only.

$80/obo shipped for the PPU and EPROMs.

Open to trades:
JB-3 Fingerboard adapters
Jamma Adapters
Victory Road Side Art

I actually didn't and don't think I'm going to. Just can't justify spending the $80 on it right now. So you should get it but keep me in mind for if/when you decide to sell it because I loved it on Famicom and would love to have it for the Red Tent that will be in my basement in the next 48 hours.

So frackin stoked. I haven't played this game since i was a little kid. We had a 110 game in one cart that had this on there. I would play it forever!!!!

Is the game in japanese?

Did you get it Lilman? If so, congrats! I thought long and hard about getting it but I need to cut down on the Vs. game purchases for a few weeks before the spouse hammer comes down on my head.

Let us know what you think of the game once you fire it up.

bongoben asked that question and I've forgotten and may be getting it mixed up with the famicom version. I don't have my machine out to test again. I know the insert coin and stage numbers before the levels are in English. It's a fun game with a lot going on.

I was always curious, but does anyone else have this game? When you get it set up you should do a video of it like blkdog7 does.

Well, if it is anything like the famicon port i used to play on my NES on that bootleg cart, the numbers are in english but alot of the writing is in japanese. Eigther way, i am stoked.

It's possible I glossed over it said anything in Japanese and just took that as decorations. I do remember it saying Insert Coin and Stage 1, etc.

Sweet... I'm glad you're picking it up. Do shoot a vid if at all possible when you fire it up. I'd love to see the Vs. version in action.

I'm suprised someone has not released the modified versions of these roms to work with a different PPU. I have read that others have done this for other Vs. games to work on one PPU, eliminating the need for muti-PPU's

If someone has already done so for this game (Mighty Bomb Jack) please chime in:)

Actually, I had talked about modifying roms to work with other PPUs, but it never came to fruition. I just don't have enough experience with the code to figure out what points to the color pallet on the PPU.

Also, mighty bomb jack is part of the RC2C05 series which from what I understand returns a value (different for each one in the series) so that it can only be used on the one game.

If you know someone who has modified the code, drop me a line.

I downloaded and played this on the Wii last night. Very fun game and it would lend itself to the Vs. controls very well. Any game where you have to fight penguins with boomerangs and capture the departed souls of your enemies for points is A-number-1 in my book.

Some of the stuff you are talking about can't happen because it seems not all the PPU's have all the colors. That being said, wait a bit and cool things will happen.

Yeah, I was wondering if I would regret selling this game. There is just so much going on in it.

I knew you would jump in on this :) been waiting months to hear more!! .. Anyway, each PPU has a different color pallet from what i have read. and the RC2C05 series returns an arbitrary value making it specific to each game.

I am guessing you have been digging into some code?
