I've recently got Vs Balloon Fight on my Nintendo Red tent but not an instruction card to make it look nice. Does anyone have a link to a scan or one to purchase even?
My thanks in advance.

The only ones I've seen are in Japanese, and the sellers were charging an arm and a leg!

Yup, Japanese release only. There isn't even a known scan or print of the original Japanese marquee. Just some really bad low-res version created from the flyer.

I would agree it would probably cost a good couple of Benjamins if any original art did pop up for sale.

for what it's worth... there is a repro of the Vs. Balloon Fight marquee in the works. Of course it has been "in the works" for something like 6 months now so if I would just get off my ass and actually work on it I might be able to finish it up.

Could you please post a pic of your PCB!!! close up of the roms would be great!!

Thanks

I could probably do so tomorrow, but if you don't mind me asking, why?

id like to see what the roms are. or do you know? are they Balloon fight roms? or are they another game or blanks burned? just curious..i dont think anyone here has ever seen genuine balloon fight roms

Oh! I see... well, sorry but these are burned roms like most everyone else I know who has this game. Sorry guys, didn't mean to get your hopes up. Thanks though, to all who have contributed to my post, but is there anything at all though for Vs. Balloon Fight besides the Flyer and bongoben's epic attempts at a marquee repo from the lo-res images out there?

I've got a picture somewhere, including the original PPU.

Meanwhile, here's the tent instruction card.

"Epic" may not be the right word for it... "lackluster", "ho-hum", and "insubstantial" are more fitting at this point. But I have a dream, right? Actually, Matt (notrecaine) found me a decent quality image to pull some of the layers off of that really only require some work on the colors to lose the grainy lo-res quality to them. Just need to get my butt off of this site and back into Photoshop / Illustrator.

If they were original, would they really look any different!?! Maybe say VSBF on them?? :)

to be honest its not the look i care about but the fact that they exist in the flesh so to speak. i think someone having a factory set would be pretty cool.

My wife is a graphic designer and could probably recreate that instruction sheet. I should provide her with the flyer art and see what she can do. :)

Of course, I would have to recreate the text in English. Just try to translate the directions basically.

ataritoobin - Thanks for the picture! Nice to know one is out there.

bongoben - I think you're being humble, to take on the task is admirable enough.

eseyo1 - I think I remember reading in an another post that you were having problems to get this game working, but I might be wrong about that. If not, were you able to solve your problem? If you & your wife would like to take on the task of a mock instruction card, that would be greatly appreciated by myself and others, I'm sure! But please, only if you feel it will be worth your time and effort, personally.

Again, thank you everyone for your input!
