The High Score Save / Free Play - Coin drop with attract mode is ready.
You can download it from http://arcade.souzaonline.com under the download section.

There are 5 eproms you need to replace (Sorry, the code was all over the place)
bf.1a
bf.1b
bf.1d
bf.6a
bf.6b

To save high scores you just need to have batteries installed on the board, no need to replace any ram with NVRAM. To reset the high score table back to default just remove the batteries for a couple of seconds and then replace them.

Free Play and Coin drop work like most of my other mods. Regardless of coinage settings it will stay in attract mode until you press one of the start buttons.

High Score Save was tested on real hardware but Free Play/Coin drop mod was only tested in MAME so please let me know if you have any problems.

Thanks for the kind words guys. When someone installs it please let me know what you think.

Well, i burned the set and am not having too much luck yet. Right now, it cycles and doesn't turn on. I will have to re-verify the burned chips to make sure all is well with them. Has anyone else tried yet?

You need to burn all 5. If you had just the hss ones before then 1a and 1d need to be reburned

So, i pulled the chips i just burned and apparently one was acting a little weird so i replaced it.

So this is what i get:

It comes up with the high score screen then to the title screen. It stays like this for about 3 seconds then restarts.

I pulled all the other chips off and verified them all as well, tried 3 other CPUs to see if that was it... Has anyone else got this going?

I'm out of time to play for the day, maybe i will get to it tomorrow, things have been a little crazy.

Is this the same boardset that was working with just the high score save mod?
Did you pull the battery to clear whatever was in ram?

Shoot me an email and we can discuss some debugging options.

Hvan't had much time to mess around with it.

I will try again after work. Maybe it is a board issue? I'll try switching the boards later on to see what i can come up with.

I never tried the free play mod on real hardware (only HSS) but I don't think I am doing anything crazy.
I can review the code tonight as well. Works perfectly in MAME that's all I can say at the moment. If anyone else has tried it please chime in.

Just checking if anyone else tried so I can put this to bed or need to look into it more
