Alright guys I finally put my free voyager back together after cleaning the shit out of it. I powered it up and there is no picture no neck glow. I know the boards work as I tested the cab with a computer monitor and it does boot into linux. So where to start first guys?

Make and model are Model # WGM 3976-U2GS27B (K7600)

Ive determine the problem is the monitor. I tested another monitor hooked to cab and there is indeed a signal

Not sure if it means anything but L4 on IO board is flashing other lights are solid green. Seems as if there is no signal going to the monitor from the IO board.

Monitor is a 7600 39in

Ive determine it has to be either the harness or the monitor. I tested it with another board and still picture no tube glow nothing. Also tried switching the dip switchs in accordance with another users picture and still nothing.

The IO board you are referring to is called a Mega Jamma board and the 4 green led's in the upper left of the board should have the first 3 on solid and the last one should blink. If your game boots up and plays blind their is nothing wrong with your power supply. If you have no neck glow in the tube then you have a monitor problem. When I got mine the game was dead, no picture, no sound no nothing but I did have neck glow in the monitor. Turns out my power supply was bad so replacing it brought my game back to life. Their's not much info out here about that monitor. Mine needs a cap kit but no one sells one so I went though the schematic and wrote down the values of every electrolytic cap and ordered them from Mouser. Not sure if a cap kit would fix yours. Maybe someone can give you some help but if monitor repair is not your thing this is your options as I see them.
Someone has a working 39" monitor out of a Voyager cheap, $200.00 you could buy that.

Happs sells a new replacement board for the monitor for $595.20

You could send your monitor board to Chad at ArcadeCup, he will rebuild it for $105.00 to $135.00 if it needs a new flyback.

That's about all I can think of right now.
Good luck

So I thought maybe I should plug a diff monitor in I had sitting on the table and low and behold picture came up distorted guessing becuase the monitor is std and not medium. Anyways I guess the monitor chassis must be bad as the test monitor at least had neck glow and somewhat of a picture.

Yes thats it.

Ok, that's the plug for the dollar bill acceptor so if you don't have one nothing plugs into it.
As for the monitor, wish I could give you some more help. I have done a few cap kits and replaced HV transformers and Hot's on 19 in monitors but this will be my first big monitor. Sense it still works I am holding off on the cap kit until after Christmas. Too much stuff going on right now. You could check the monitor fuses to see if they have blown.

Where are the fuses located I see one but not the other. Really want to get this thing working for christmas.

Not sure if it only had one fuse or not but here's the schematics for it

You can check the board over for cold solder joints, burnt parts, swelled caps etc. You never know , you might find something simple. Don't forget to discharge the tube if you remove the chassis, might not be any Hi Voltage but don't take a chance, discharge it anyway.

Like I said previousley the owner recapped in an attempt to fix it and nothing board looks clean.Im getting tired now going to wait a day or two then pull chassis look it over and if nothing else send it for repair. Ive never completley seperated the chassis from the tube is there tutorial some where for this?

I looked the boards over after pulling chassis and it looked fine far as I could tell. So I packaged it up and sent it to Chad at arcadecup. Any of you guys had him fix your stuff?

Wouldnt you know it after I mailed it Roy struck a deal with me for his chassis now I have 2 what luck.
