I have a digital voltage meter that is connected to a jamma finger board - it measures the 5V from the power supply. You plug the meter into the jamma harness and then the PCB into the meter...

Anyway - when I plug my SEGA choplifter PCB (which also has a Sega-to-JAMMA adapter) the voltage reads 4.7. When I plug a regular jamma PCB in, it reads 5.02...

Is the SEGA-to-jamma adapter causing the 5V drop? Or is something up with the choplifter PCB?

Thanks

Different boards have different power draws. I have ~5 boards that plug into my Gauntlet Legends cab and I get readings that vary by about .25 or .3v from one extreme to the other.

So could it be something with that board or that adapter? Yes. But I wouldn't be terribly surprised if you were seeing natural variances.

I would also recommend that you disconnect that voltmeter and double check the readings yourself with a DMM.
