Visiting a Japanese 'Arcade Museum'

Best KLOV thread of 2010. Thanks for posting.

The unknown s/d copter game is Metal Hawk.
Had the pleasure of playing the JPN deluxe model
years ago.

And the Steel Gunner is probably the only cabinet
you photographed that is identical to its USA counterpart.

Awesome GLXN^3 coverage too.
Always wanted to rip one open.

Very lucky happy special golden dragon chance you had! :)
Jealous.

I always found it kind of curious that on Japanese home market games, half or more of the text on the games is still English.

This is truly spectacular! Thank you for taking the time to share your pictures here. I love being inspired by great games and others who put a collection like this together. This is the kind of thing that helps grow the hobby and get more people interested in collecting.

I have been feeling wishy-washy about restoring a couple of games lately. I took one look at those Galaxian and Puckman pictures and I am suddenly determined to get my games looking perfect. Thanks again for the inspiration!

I would love to own that Darius game or the Galaxian 3. Then again, rare games represent something special since they are so hard to find. Part of the fun is trying to find something or appreciating a game that is unique.

Awesome!!!

Thanks for posting! I want to go to Japan so bad. I might make it happen next year. I want to visit that place too. I soooo want a Namco Puck-Man = GRAIL!

Wow that's amazing stuff there! When do you ever get pictures of working Galaxian 3 theaters now days!

Thanks much for posting this!

Just another place to add to my list for when I go back.

Last time I was there, I didn't have much interest in the arcade scene, but I do now.

Thanks for the pics.

Awesome thread, thanks a bunch for posting! Was Namco's Libble Rabble present in any form? It's a pet favorite of mine and I've always wondered if a dedicated upright existed.

I'm pretty sure it never had a dedicated upright. By 1982 it seemed most games either came in cocktail form or kit form in Japan.
