I ended up in Vegas this weekend for a wedding on Saturday and before heading of town today I made my way to the Pinball Hall of Fame..

I have to admit I have never seen so many Pinball Machines together in one place. Just about every type of machine is on display...

I spent a good two hours playing various pinballs and some old school video games..

What was very cool is that they had the 4 Player Space Mission pinball that I just purchased last week. It was great to be able to see what a fully functioning machine should plays and looks like..

The bad part is that they had a Tron arcade machine... I know that sounds good, however now I really want one for the house...

It was also nice to see 17 year old son, 21 year old daughter and my wife all playing pinball machines, it also helped me gain support for my hobby from my wife....

I have attached a couple of pics..

If you are ever in Vegas make sure you check it out...Located at Tropicana and Pecos.

How much $$$$ did you end up spending there?

NICE photo - more???

Steve

I spent $10.00 for all four of us... Most of the older games are only a quarter.. A few of the newer pinball machines were $.50 to $.75...

I forgot what a good deal pinballs are.. I played Space Mission for at least 20 minutes on 1 single quarter (One free game from a Special)....

I have attached a few other pics....

I just finished ordering quite a few parts for both of my new machines (Space Mission and Toledo)... I have never worked on Pinball Machines, let alone EM machines. While I was there today there were a couple of guys working on some of the older EM machines, I plan and design Blu-ray Players for a living, however I feel like such a novice with these machines. Very cool....

The first thing that comes to mind seeing your pics is this: Why do they want to have sunlight coming in on those nice machines? I mean, that's how fade happens! I would have assumed they would have put these awesome games away from windows! Oh well.

It looks like they have shades (even over the door) that, I imagine, shade the machines.

Plus they are about to move into their new larger building soon.
I've seen photos of it in PGJ and it looks like a very large warehouse.
And it is closer to the strip also!

Any MORE PHOTOs???

Man, I would love to go there someday. Did you get to meet Tim the 'curator'? He owns all of the machines, and I bet he has more than a few stories to share.

Did you get a chance to play the upright Pinball Circus pinball machine? It's upright like an arcade game, and about as big as a vending machine. I want to say that it has 4 seperate playfields on top of each other, with the goal getting the ball all the way to the top and into the clowns mouth. Wierdest machine ever, but totally fun!

I hope you also got to check out the EM racing game in the back... there's not really any attract mode so I almost thought it was broken, but put in a quarter and it comes to life! Really fun projector-based racing game... And yeah, all the pinball is cool too of course. :)

I was also happy to see the Space Shuttle + Pinbot = Bride of Pinbot lineup. :D

I was there Aug 14, same weekend as Walkamo and spoke briefly with Tim while he was fixing a game. Unlike most places where you can play pinball, he actually maintains and repairs the games. I forgot to mention to him though that the Pinball Circus had a weak left flipper. Made it very difficult to make it up the steep ramp to the second floor. I can see why it didn't make mass production. Just not a very fun game to play after the novelty wears off. The 5 hours I spent there wasn't nearly enough time. Gotta go back soon.

Just got back from Vegas. My girlfriend and I spent 1/2 a day at the PHOF. It was an easy ride off of the Strip at Tropicana. Just a word of advice, eat before you go, or you will be eating HOT Pockets. The games were plentiful. The SS's got most of the attention, but we enjoyed playing the EM's. Most of the games were working and the ones that did not, I did not feel like telling him. There is no way that I could maintain a collection that big.

I would suggest a trip there if you happen to be in Las Vegas

I went there two years ago and there were a lot of games out of order. The game didn't seem clean at all, and the place was dirty. I will be back there in a couple of months. Can anyone give me another update like we just got?

Not an update, but a vision: There will be a lot of games out of order. Many will not seem clean at all, and the place will be dirty.

That said... it's the only place in the area that you'll find that variety of machines in one place. If you're not going for a specific machine (so won't be crushed when it is down or not playing properly) it's probably worth a stop in.

If you want to spend time on a row of 10 immaculately-maintained Stern/JJP pins, check out NYNY, up by the roller coaster. Or the just-opened Fremont Arcade downtown (owned/operated by the same gentleman that operates the NYNY pins.) At Fremont they've got the following 16 pins, in addition to vids, drivers and redemption junk.

Pins:

Harley Davidson 1st Edition Sega
Avengers Hulk Limited Edition
Kiss Limited Edition
Transformers Limited Edition
Game of Thrones Limited Edition
AC/DC Premium
Iron Man Vault
Metallica Pro
Mustang 50th Anniversary Limited Edition
Walking Dead Limited Edition
Wizard of Oz Emerald City Limited Edition
Hobbit Smaug Edition
X-Men Pro
