Got some background interference from a vision pro monitor that I have tried in two completely different cabs and with different tubes . Other monitors work fine in the same monitors with the same power supply including another vision pro monitor.

Picture is beautiful otherwise. Thought maybe it was the uso Trans as I know you don't have to use one with this model.

Or read it could be a ground issue .
Important to mention I can hear some excessive voltage crackle/chatter in the tube that my other vision pro chassis doesn't make with the same tube. Problem seems to be following the chassis, but beside the the picture is newr perfect and fresh.

if you have herring bone interference run a bridge wire between logic ground and earth ground and try again. or if you don't have earth ground connected to the tube try connecting it. or try doing both. this is a Smash TV power supply, all the Williams/Midway isolation transformers were prone to this issue with some monitors notably the Hantarex Polo that they used between Mortal Kombat and Killer Instinct 2.

That's gold thanks ,learned something new today. You rule mecha!

Well, That did not fix it. Even tried running the monitor powered directly without the isoto transtormer. Tried all combinations of grounded. Man, that's aggravating. The picture is so nice except for that. You gotta be something with the Chassis. Same too different chasses no problem So it would seem all the wiring in the Cabinet is good.

Could be interference from your house wiring or any other equipment near the cab. Might be worth it to move it to another location and try a different outlet.

Tried that too. It's the only monitor of dozen in same location that's ever done this. Was wondering if there was something like a shield just to test I could put between the back of the tube between the monitor. I'm suspicious of the flyback even though adjusts perfectly fine.

A picture would help.

Has it been capped or OEM caps? OEM caps on those were garbage when they were new.

Some of these you'd get a weird pattern if your screen control is up to high so you can try to adjust that.

And if this was a tube swap you may find it's a yoke compatibility issue.

I'll post vid. I've tried adjusting screen down.

Have tried 2 different tubes that I am sure well 100% original Vision Pro

Also oem caps, clean and brand new as I've seen. I k ow could be another variable to rule out.

Here's a new one!

Noticed some purple "glow" coming from the area were the red meets the black rubber of the anode suction cup. Can hear electricity "dancing around" inside unplugged monitor and the glowing purple died with it. This is high voltage glow ! Lol

As much of a pain in the ass it is to cap these you should probably just start there. I've seen NOS monitors not work out of the box because of bad caps. People don't want to hear that their "brand new" monitor needs to be repaired.

Remove the anode cup, discharge tube, clean the entire area around the hole with alcohol. Put it back together and make sure the suction up sits firmly on the tube. Snug up the wire if you need to. You may need to recrimp and solder the connector too.
