Hey guys. I just bought a new one from HAPP and I am curious if you guys that have them or seen them in action have any opinions. I guess I should have asked before hand, but I was going to get one anyway, so I thought I'd see what the consensus is on these. I currently have a 25" Makvision in my NFL Blitz cab that I Mame'd that is great, but I wanted to put it in one of my other cabs, so I got the LCD as a replacement. If anyone has any info on them, that would be great. If worse comes to worse, I can build a project around it, but I'd like to use it for the aforementioned NFL Blitz cab. Thanks!

I know LCD's are hated for classic games, but I'd also be interested in comments on these... I have a standard res 27" in my Golden Tee. Wouldn't mind running an LCD at medium res in the GT and keeping the standard res for a game that needs it.

Have the prices come down at all? They used to be nuts.

Monitor + Mounting Kit + Bezel = $627.

So far I have bought 4 27" Samsung LCD's from overstock.com at $180 each and put them in cabinets and the quality is absolutely the same as the Vision Pro 26" our local arcades just put into their racing cabinets. The ONLY difference is the vision pro has CGA/EGA input, but that's not a problem because I bought 4 Gonbes CGA to VGA HD converters for $35 each and they work perfect. Overall still spending just a little over $200 for each cabinet to upgrade them to 27". And I decased the 27" LCD's and they look exactly like the Vision pro, also making the bezel smaller losing almost 1.5 inches of total width.

Don't get me wrong, I like the Vision Pro and any arcade LCD but you can achieve the same thing with buying a cheaper LCD and a converter.

Here is a video of them in action.

And a 32" Vizeo from walmart ($210) decased and put into my NeoGeo MVS
