Pretty simple...does this sucker come apart?

There's one local to me, FREE (Tire kickers have been talking MAME...fuck off!)...but I REALLY don't have the space to set it up right away...nor would it fit down the stairs into my basement unless it came apart enough. At best I'd need to get it apart enough to put it in my living room...lol

Anyone seen one of these moved? Moved one and taken one apart?

It comes apart, I know at least into two pieces. And Im pretty sure the seats detach as well. Virtual On has been on my list for quite some time!

Yeah I managed to find a bit on the topic, from some guy's blog about doing just this...seems no different really than my head to head candy cab.

Biggest issue is however, the owner cannibalized the monitors and they're MED res. Now I am looking over at said candy cab...which uses the same (or similar, as they do MED res) 29" monitors, pondering stealing those and scrapping it or giving it away.

We just moved a set today. They rolled real nice on the large caster wheels. The two players seperate, and then the seat compartments can seperate from the monitor sections. From what I saw, It looked like there was shit-tons of bolts holding the seat section to the monitor half. Looked like it would take a while to undo them.

hey, if it means saving those badass cabs, an airhockey table can always be stood on it's end to save space. :)

Or disassembled. I've got a freaking pin in my kitchen, and the air hockey table is in my living room! lol

I'm going to call my buddy tomorrow, I think I'll cannibalize my Versus City for it's monitors and put a FREE! sign on it...I've always wanted a VO and I can't let someone bastardize it. Dude wants to make a Racing MAME out of it!

Although I believe racing MAME setups are great for replay value, most of them look like shit. I don't condone tearing apart a perfectly good looking classic like that.

I'd be fine with it, it if didn't involve absolutely butchering the control panel, the game uses twin sticks. To put a wheel in...uggh!

It is a pretty cab too. I just emailed the guy, thankfully I've dealt with him before (He bought a board off me, runs a local arcade) and I'm planning on having my daughters birthday party there too.

Took me a few minutes, looking at the Versus City before I said "Sorry...buh bye buddy!" lol

Wonder if I could run Cyber Sled in it too...Namco hardware though. Nanao monitors I have are STD/MED res, so that's do-able.
Edit: Crap, Cyber Sled uses Analog sticks...

I emailed the guy and he say's "They're yours! Gimme a call", it's a go with my buddies trailer on the weekend.

Now, anyone want a Versus City cab, less the monitors and controls? lol

They're home, and they're huge!

Had to take the plastic side pieces with the artwork off to get them through my front door, damn security screws too! My neighbours no doubt think I'm crazy by now...

Yeah, those plastic 'hoods' are pretty bulky for a door, eh?

Take pics once they're assembled!

Actually the hoods stayed on, it was the sideart plastic pieces on the outsides that had to come off, as they added an extra 2 inches almost to the wood sides.

pictures now plz!!!!

Local Arcade here has a 2player Virtua ON setup. I really would love to see a VOOT setup at some point.

If you've seen it at your arcade, you've seen what I've got...it's not OT.

The cabinet for OT is almost identical anyway, just different art and the seats kinda look like the seats on a SF Rush.
