I have a dedicated SEGA virtua fighter. The monitor at first was fuzzy and bright and would shut off, then i made some adjustments on the back of the monitor and the board and it worked fine for 2 days. Now i have to keep the monitor dark to get it to stay on.

Any ideas?

that would most likely be high voltage shutdown. means that the brighter you make the screen, the B+ goes beyond safe operating limits and it shuts the monitor off.

you'll have to identify what kind of monitor you have, then ideally install a fresh set of capacitors, then make the appropriate adjustments to the B+ in order to get it to work right.

if it's a funky asian make like a Sanwa or Nanao then you'll be best off taking a picture of the monitor chassis (the boards to the monitor) and posting them.
