I have a Virtua Cop I Upright arcade game. The problem I am having is with the guns. I go thru the Test Mode and calibrate the guns both for Player 1 & 2 and they seem to calculate and the markers match up fine. But when I exit the Test Mode it says "Memory destried" and the game turns back on and the guns are not calibrated no more. Cant seem to figure this out any and all help would be appreciated.

Sounds like it isn't saving your settings.
Is there a battery on this board? If so, it could need replacing.

So

I cant seem to find the battery givin the game is not in a dedicated cabinet. There seems to be a BUNCH of boards in there and cant seem to find the right board. Will take a picture and post it to show you all the inside.

Most Likely there is a battery mounted on the board someplace. It could also be saved on a chip which has gone bad. I am not really familiar with chips, but I have seen it in the past. The battery (if there is one) may not look like a standard battery. I have seen them wrapped in plastic, soldered to the board, looks a lot like a big yellow or green short, fat capacitor. Or it could be just a socketed battery. Either way, change it out, reset your calibration, and you should be good to go.
