Vinyl installation Made Easier

Hey! I thought no one came to this section anymore. Thanks guys. I'm almost done, just the kickplate to go. A few pics of the other side and more pics with Bill's awesome offset T-molding installed:

personally I hate applying vinyl to cabs due to the necessary prep work. I will say that I recently applied the pica vinyl and due to the thickness it went on easily. Unfortunately most of our vinyl sources sell much thinner vinyl and pica vinyl is not the vinyl that was used on many cabs originally.

Thanks for the write up Phet. Game will be a stunna for sure.

Any tips on doing front panel vinyl, where you can't let the edges overhang? Trim first than apply?

I walked by the cabinet this morning on the way to work and was amazed at the sheer perfection of the finish. Really stunning in person. Nearly zero flaws, other than the 2 tiny specks of dust that got trapped under one of the pieces. Even they are nearly invisible. It was so easy to get this flawless look with this vinyl that I actually feel guilty, and I'm not even Catholic. No wonder Chris swears by this stuff for almost every restoration he's ever done. (Try stenciling some time you lazy bitch!)
