you get the idea.. these things are everywhere just gotta do a little hunting to get a great price.. alot of people have these and arent using them so ask friends neighboars etc, youll find one..

most of these do have push button switches.. if somebody learns how to hack thiers to turn on with ac power applied please lmk..

mine also has a remote to turn it on off but so far ive just left it on.. they were made to always be on anyways...

How fast do these frames switch between pictures? If you can set it faster, you could do some cool animations... Pac mouth open, then closed, then a little further right, open/closed...
Does that make sense?

I've got a spare 19" lcd tv that has a memory card slot I might use. I was going to donate it to the "Stars Wars project" going on in the "Chat about anything" forum :)

mine is 2 secs 4 secs 6 secs 8 secs adjustable. you can also control how it changes like fade, blocks fade out, slide to side, etc..

i shot a bunch of short vids of some of my games.. (different sweeping motions)

unfortunastely my vids come out of my program mpeg and the frame only likes avi..

i was wanting to mix up short vids and pictures...

unfortuinately i got a avi converter form google but it sucks balls.. video is all green and double imaged on the bottom.. oh well i tried

I also love the idea and just ordered one from Amazon for $60.

This one here:

Has 512 MB of built in memory and also plays videos.

How cool would it be to have clips from Arcade movie scenes mixed up in the slide show? Karate Kid, Tron, etc...

I got mine today. It's actually pretty cool. I like that this one has a plastic black surround and is not wood grain. The best part? It comes with a remote! Having the 512mb of built in memory is a plus as this is PLENTY for photos and images. But, it does play video, so I might play around with that. It also plays music.

It does have a momentary switch. So, you have to turn it on manually using the remote control or by pushing a button on the back.

Overall, I am happy.

Also, it appears that this one turns on and starts the slideshow automatically when it senses new power. When I plugged it in, it turned right on and started the slideshow. I'll test it further later when I turn all my machines on with it plugged into the same circuit.

that would be dope!!! share model and brand plz so these guys know which one to get..

i havent tried mone yet to see if itll power up with ac power applied, ive just left it on...

The remote is a nice touch.

Just wanted to verify that the frame I bought does automatically turn on and start the slideshow when it receives power. So, when I turn all my games on, this thing automatically goes on and starts displaying images.

8" is a bit small but it is totally viewable and readable at any distance in the arcade. It's some cool additional eye candy.

sunk mine into the wall last week.. not a pro job but like the rest of my cade its the games im showcasing not the walls lol basically mine came with a optional wood frame.. so i cut doen the sides so it would fit tightly between two joists, used it as a template, cut out the drywall, glued in the frame form the back(other side is bare wall/laundry room) then painted flat black to match the rest of the wall..

ill add some trim or add some spackle and sand smooth etc someyear.... for now, good enough flash makes this look krappier than it is
