Vidiot for a Day! August 4th, 2012. (near Binghamton, NY)
(Figured I'd post this in the general section for all to see since people from PA, NJ, and MA have come in the past so it's really not a "restricted NY" sub-forum kind of thing. That and it doesn't seem like most people frequent those sub-forums very much?)
August 2012 is coming up pretty fast here so the wifey and I decided on this year's date...
Saturday, August 4th from ~2pm to ~9pm(or 10pm or 11pm or...).
A few things have changed down in the basement since last year with the addition of two more pins and a whole lot of neon!
Some video games have come, and some have gone so it'll be the same... but different.
Please let me know either here or via PM if you are going to be attending. The wife's already asked about the quantity of food and other stuff we need and I told her you never can tell who's going to show up... but I'd try to get an idea for her.
Not sure if people want to try the swap meet again this year since it didn't seem to go over too well last year(again). Which is odd to me since I know I love seeing what kind of junk people have! I'll definitely have a tent and tables setup again this year for that purpose if people want to try again.
And we can easily fit ~10 or so games inside the house if you want to bring anything to sell or trade or just show off!
Food will be about the same with "cookout" being the theme. And yep, that means SPIEDIES!
Here's a current list of games down in the basement...
1. Donkey Kong/DKII
2. Donkey Kong Jr.
3. Donkey Kong III

For those that haven't been here before, Binghamton is very easy to get to with I81, I88, and I86(old Rt17) running straight through it. Our place is about an hour south of Syracuse, 2 hours south-west of Albany, 2-1/2 hours south-east of Rochester, and an hour north of Scranton, PA. (Oh yeah, and it's 11-1/2 hours north-east of Kentucky!!!)
And finally, here is this year's t-shirt...
As you can see, we're finally using multiple colors and also adding a small graphic on the left sleeve. I toyed with the idea of changing everything around but I heard it from the family so the basic design is staying the same as previous years.
I'm going to be putting the t-shirt order in ~June 22 so if you know you want one let me know your size. It's looking like $10 for up to a XL and $12 for XXL.
T-shirt list as of 06/25/12:
The Vidiots - XXL, XL, S, YXL
SRW - XL, XL
Tim - M, L
Broodwich - XL
Kawydud - XXL
melchman - L
nuckinfuts68 - XL, XL
Mr. Do - L
cwales - XXL
Hope to see you August 4th,
Jeff
p.s. If you don't know what the heck all this babbling is about, here's the thread from the previous two year's parties...
