The video/sync lines from the jamma connector to chassis is pretty taut in my cabinet. My MK1 has an extension to this connection (10pin to 10pin, in the grey casing) and I was wondering if it's available for purchase anywhere (maybe I'm searching with the wrong wording).

If not, I could create one myself, which would just be the correct length I want from jamma to chassis (as opposed to the 10pin to 10 pin extension). If I go this route, I was curious if I should wrap a wire around the ground like as seen in around the black wire in the picture attached. What's the benefit of that, and is it necessary?

you don't need shielded wire if you make it as that bare wire is only a drain wire and when the bare wire isn't used correctly it only creates problems and when used is only supposed to be connected on one end. not needed in this application. if you need the parts to make a new cable we have them all in stock and tools.
