I have a Golden Tee Fore! red board pcb, and it has a video card attached with a 15-pin D-Sub output. When I connect that to my pc monitor, I get an "Out of Range" error, and it says something about "25.7kHz/61Hz.

What do I need to output the video from this card to a pc monitor, or lcd tv?

Thanks!

My cabinet appears to have a 25" bezel, but the paper work that came with it shows a 27". How do I know which monitor my cabinet uses? It measures the same as my Killer Instinct 2 and my NFL Blitz99, which are both 25".

Should I assume I need a 25?

Why not just get a Standard res 25inch monitor? It'll be cheaper and much easier to find.

How much difference will I notice between std and med res?

My cabinet will accept a 25 or a 27? I assume if I go 27", I'll need a new plastic bezel?

Also...thank you everyone for putting up with my newbish-ness.

Most GT's had 25" monitors, some had 27's. I upgraded from a STD U2000 to a MED U5000 and I am very happy with my upgrade. If you are going to keep it and it's in your top 5 it's probably worth the upgrade. If your going to flip it or only play it occasionally the STD is probably good enough for you. Most buyers probably wouldn't know enough to ask if it's a STD or MED res monitor in the machine if you are going to sell it.

I think I am going to keep it, so a 25" med res should be fine. Do I need any certain brand, or will any 25" med res work? Are the brackets different? I assume I can make the wires match if it's a different brand. I think it came with a 9200 Wells.

Neverenough...

Thanks for the info. A few questions...

With that Averkey converter, will that allow me to run med resolution on an lcd, or only std res?

Do I go directly from the Golden Tee video card to the Averkey?

Will the game display in widescreen, or will I get the black borders?

Thanks!

I am using a vga monitor all I did was unplug the bypass cable and plug the video cable directly into the green video board and it works fine...I even call IT Games and they said that was ok to do....I am not sure if this is what you were looking to do...but I hope it helps!

I tried that on two different monitors and it wont work. I get a sync error on my IBM 21" and the display is all garbled and rolling on my dell 17".

I wonder what gives?

How would the display look going into the yellow RCA video input of a 27" tube tv?

A lot of pc monitors cant take an cga or ega input. The converter plugs directly into the video card with a vga cable. It can process the ega I am using the medium resolution. Now I am using it with a svideo cable to the tv, but I believe it will convert for the vga out also. By using the tvs pic size settings and the positon buttons on the converter I use the whole screen with maybe an inch of border. Here is a pic of it on the 42".

I found a cheap 27" tube tv, but it only has the yellow RCA video input. What type of picture would I get going from the Averkey to the yellow RCA on the tv?

Also, I found that the MSI / NVidia 7600 series video cards work with the GT red boards. Will changing the video card change the frequency to VGA, or is that decided on the motherboard? The MSI video card has s-video, VGA, and HDTV video outputs. Will I still need a converter to run this to a TV / Computer monitor?

I'd like to know the answer to this question as well.

I have a GT 2005 board and HD, but need to find a way to hook it up to my LCD computer monitor.... I built a small box with the trackball, PCB, HD, and Power supply. Just can't get video to work.........
